I had a lipoma removal from my back 10 days ago. It was a very simple surgery, the incision is probably 2 inches long. The thing is it's still bleeding like it was the next day. I want to tell my surgeon about this but I'm worried he will ask me to go see him. He is going to call me tomorrow for a follow up. The reason I don't want to go is because I have lots of hickeys and finger nail scratch marks on my back. I'm embarrassed to go back because before my surgery I had marks (less than I have now) and the nurse asked me what those marks are... I told her they are marks made by my husband. When the doctor came to my room to talk to me before they wheeled me in she showed him the marks on my back she told him "these are the marks I told you about" he looked embarrassed but didn't say anything. Maybe me being a Muslim lady like him he thought bad of me. He didn't even make eye contact with me and appeared uncomfortable. Should I tell him my incision isn't healing as it should? If I go see him I won't be able to cover the marks because they are inches away from the incision. Thank you for your answers

I'm currently doing a PhD which was due in September. But my submission date has been put forward by a few months to give me time to finish. Because of this, I considered joining my parents on our annual holiday (I originally wasn't going as I needed all the time I could To try and finish by September but now I don't have to. ) but I'm really unsure. Part of me thinks I should stay at home and continue working as I've fallen behind due to research difficulties. But the idea of getting away and avoiding my work for a while is really appealing. But I'd have to share a room with my parents for a week and I quite like my own space. I've also done this same trip with them my whole life so I've seen everything there is to see. I'm worried if I go I'll regret it and just worry about my workload waiting for me at home. But going is so tempting. For some reason I'm reqlly terribly conflicted about this and is causing me a lot of stress (I'm really bad at making decisions). My mum assures me it's ok if I don't go but I'm the last child at home who goes with them and I feel really really guilty that I'm not going and am disappointing my mum. I'd love an outsiders perspective. A few people have told me to go and take a break while others have said to stay and make the most of my time to finish my PhD ASAP.

So deep within, my sister's kind (I believe) and she's nice few times but most of the time, she's plainly rude, sarcastic, remorseful, and keeps hard feelings on rest of the family. My father let my sisters boyfriend move in a few years back. My sister was 'in love' and my father lent a helping hand by allowing him to live there. 3 years later, he has become a burden on the entire house, not to mention a burden on my sis. They had a little girl a year and a half ago and this has put my father in a hard place. If he kicks out Justin, my sister will most likely leave with him, leaving my two nieces for my dad and mom to take care of. My dad has concerns that Justin will try and fight to stay there. Also, my brother passed away in 2004, and i believe my Dad doesn't want to lose another kid by kicking out her boyfriend because pop knows that she'll leave with him. As of recently they were both on methadone but he has since been kicked out of program and she continues to take it. The situation is getting worse. I am so nervous. My dad is going to be there and we are not close at all. And to make the matters worse, my sister will be there too and we don't get along at all. I quit smoking a full month ago and am using a vape. It worked. I no longer want cigarettes. The thought of lighting one of them and inhaling the putrid smoke is repugnant now. I can hardly believe I ever smoked. The thing is, there's a craving for something that doesn't exist. The vape takes care of the nicotine. But the psychological craving is still every bit as strong as day one.

My dad has been hitting me and verbally abusing me for years. Initially i was very submissive and i took it without retaliation. Then at a point of time i had enough i turned aggressive. I have hit my dad and verbally abused him in retaliation. So does this make me a bad person?

Basically I always have thoughts of wanting to strangle or murder my mother. She always gets on my case; whether I'm cleaning the house, on my phone, doing laundry etc... especially when I'm on my computer playing games because she doesn't want me playing for too long. (which I understand but thats how I can cope with not actually wanting to kill her) It's becoming too much for me now and she keeps adding so much stress to myself that I literally have to take pills to control my stress levels right now (which is a 4.3 and I'm only 17). I already have 4 jobs because I'm trying to move out as soon as possible to not deal with her bull crap but she keeps leeching off my own money when she has way more than me. She chooses to waste it on useless products that go out within a 2-3 days all the damn time. I really WOULD NOT mind dealing with the consequences that would arise from murdering her but she is my mother and all and I want to avoid doing anything to her before I lose my gosh dang mind.

I know moving away from siblings is a part of life, but where my situation differs is in our age gap. I am 22 and my 5 siblings range from 10 years to 1 year. The younger two children especially are like my own children to me and I have taken them on as my own in situations when times get tough on my mom. Although i am not moving out quite yet- I have so much anxiety about doing so in the next upcoming years. It feels like leaving my own children behind. What makes it worse is feeling like they won't quite grasp why I am moving out and will feel like I am abandoning them. And no, my mother would never allow them to come with me. I got really upset when my mom barged in my room and wanted me to give some money back to my friend from babysitting (another story, not a big deal), so I told her it wasn't that big of a deal, I'll just text her about it, but she grabbed my phone aggressively and insisted on texting her herself. I went and tried to get it back to her and I dont remember exactly, but I think I pushed her to get my phone and her bracelet fell and the beads went everywhere. I love my mom very much, but as I'm growing more and more into adulthood, it's hard for me to not resent and be mad at her, which to her looks like "for no reason". This is because the man she married when I was 11 has treated me terribly since they tied the knot. Not physical abuse; but subtle things that completely changed me and my life. I would call it emotional abuse on many occasions. My mom has and sometimes does stick up for me, but it is increasingly hard to see her with him when I feel like I'm being betrayed. My mom was always a single mom until she got married, we were so close, and I feel like we can never be like that again being that she let a man into our lives that dislikes me and treats me wrong. He treats me worse and worse as I age, and I can't help but resent my mom for still being with him, despite how he treats me and makes me feel. Please no criticism, just advice and thoughts.

Sooner or later he and his family will find out what my mother is. A narcissist. She abused me multiple times growing up and has the worst personality so I know what she's like. I have warned that narcissist tirelessly to be nice to my fiance when she speaks to him and so far thankfully she's been alright. My parents do take care of me.They send me to school and take care of my financial needs. They even let me go for movies and involve me in dinners and trips. They do give me good clothes to wear as well. They do satisfy all my financial needs and wants. But they do hit me and verbally abuse me on the name of discipline and punishment. They hit me for things like watching too much TV or not studying enough.My dad keeps saying that ******* my mom was a big mistake resulting in my birth. For the past few days, I was in Charlotte for a mini vacation. Everything went wrong for me. When I got to the hotel, I had a terrible stomachache and could barely move around and go see the city. The next day, I got my period. We went to carowinds as one of our trips and I couldn't go to any of the rides I was excited for because for one, my brother talking about how he wanted to be 'cautious' and made our family sit out for most of the rides. Then, as I was going to go to one of the rides, I got a pretty bad case of heat exhaustion and almost fainted, and had to go to leave from the line and try and make my way to the shady area(staggering and all). My family had to leave early because of I, and my brother got mad at me, saying it was all my fault. As we walked back to the car, I got a mini dizzy spell and dropped my phone out of my hand, and straight up shattered half the screen. Along with that, my cramps were getting worse and worse. The next day, we were supposed to go to the U.S National Whitewater center, but I knew I was going to have a difficult time because of my period. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it so I didn't tell them, and we went. However, almost all the activities were booked out, and we had to go straight home. As we drove home, all my brother did was laugh about how I exaggerated my symptoms which made me drop my phone, and said it was karma. When I was at the verge of tears, he yelled in my face, saying I was spoiled for crying. Is he right?

My cousin is mad at my aunt & uncle because they won't let her hang out with an older friend, who's a 22 or 23 years old woman. Even though they're both females, my relatives don't want my cousin to hang out with her because of the big age difference. They're at different stages in life & cognitive development. My cousin doesn't agree with her parents and says that she'll be running away. I don't know if she's serious or not. I'm hoping she's just an angry teen who won't actually do what she says. Hello I currently live my grandmother and yesterday I was looking in her bedroom looking for an extra blanket when I found a sex toy. I've been having trouble getting a part time job (19, going to be a sophomore in the fall at University) but I found out I can sell my plasma and make just enough to rent a place for the summer. (I'd go back to dorm life in the fall when the help of scholarships.) The issue is A. My mother (only parent, 64) doesn't want me to sell my plasma and b. She'll complain about little stuff and say if I don't like it I should move out. But when I mentioned"what if I got an apartment over the summer" (she stopped me before I told her what I was planning) she says no, and that it's too dangerous (we're from a small Southern town while uni is in the "big dangerous city" (same state though)) My bf has an apartment, and told me about how he had to get his sister's help in signing off as him being reliable or something, which I do have a sister (39), but as a mother herself I'm not sure if she'd be willing to keep it a secret I'm living in an apartment or what kind of lie I'd have to tell to do so without my mother being suspicious. I fight with the elders in my family a lot so I just want to get away from that, absence makes the heart grow fonder type of thing, I guess I'm hoping they'll like me more if I'm not there? What could I say to not draw suspicion if I go through with my sort-of plan? Once back, I asked my aunt a question because she was the one driving: "I left my keys at grandma's house, I can take an Uber from her house so you don't have to go out of your way if you want?" She flipped sh*t. Began screaming at me asking why I didn't bring my keys with me.I blew up, started screaming at her and my mom ganged up on me. A lot of things were said. I know family should mean a lot but if there's so much negative energy coming from them, is it wrong to cut them off?
