Question: My grandma got mad and smashed my iPad while i was at her house, what should I do? Posted: 12 Jul 2019 01:58 PM PDT so basically my parents are gone for the weekend and I'm 16 so I'm staying at my grandmas house. and I was on my iPad Pro doing a summer school assignment and my grandma walked in and started yelling at me saying how electronics are poison and I need to get off so I said ok ok and got off and she grabbed the iPad from my bed and threw it across the room and it shattered. I screamed at her and she just ignored me. I want to call my parents but I would feel bad about getting my grandma in trouble, I went to her old early 2000s laptop and manually turned off the fans so it will break soon as revenge
Posted: 12 Jul 2019 01:35 PM PDT I see plenty of 9 and 10 year olds who show visible signs of development. I started going through those changes myself at that age, just a few years ago. My parents didn't expect it to happen until I was in my early teens. As I got older, I notice that most adults don't expect younger children to go through those changes. It seems pretty common to me, to the point where I don't think it's weird.

Question: What happens at your 13th female physical exam? Posted: 12 Jul 2019 10:52 AM PDT I have mine in a few weeks and I'm so nervous my mom is not coming and I feel most comfortable with her. Instead, my younger sister(10) and my dad are coming. I never talk to my dad cause he's at work and my sister abuses me and I have scars. I'm so scared of what will happen and I've never gone without my mom. My dad doesn't even know ive had my period for a long time... I feel so self conscious about what will happen there and I hate my sister someone please help.
Posted: 12 Jul 2019 10:47 AM PDT In my teen years I got to know him despite my mother's fears. Now I am well into adulthood and he has died. Now my Mom;s brother is an alcoholic and we see him when there are weddings or funerals. So am I going to be an alcoholic? Have I caught it even though I am not an active alcoholic yet?
Question: I went skinny dipping with my cousin?!? Posted: 12 Jul 2019 10:33 AM PDT Ok so I was recently at my cousins house for the night while my parents were away, so I wasn't home alone and bored. I'm 15 years old (boy) and so is my cousin (girl). Me and my cousin were always super close best friends since we were born, especially because neither of us have siblings. That night my aunt and uncle went out to the store to buy us some fun and tasty dessert. My cousin and I were bored so we started reading some "never have I Evers" off the internet cause they were funny, one said never have I ever been skinny dipping. I said I haven't but I wouldn't mind tying it. She said the same thing. She then asked me if I wanted to try it, since they had gotten a new pool built in this summer. I was hesitant but then said sure. So we got into our swim suits and went outside. We took them off by the pool and jumped in and talked and threw a ball for a while. We saw her parents get home so we got our stuff back on but continued swimming and got out. It was fun and interesting experience. I just don't know if it's considered weird or not cause we are cousins. We didn't do anything sexual at all, just had fun normally.
Question: How do I get my 11 year old son to stop lying? Posted: 12 Jul 2019 10:12 AM PDT At night, my son pretends to be reading a book when he's secretly going on his tablet. He hides the device behind the book. I've warned him at least 9 times or so to quit lying and even took it away for one day once. My son says he needs it to message his online friends on Instagram and Snapchat. All my kids have devices in their bedroom. My two older teens (ages 14 and 17) are responsible enough to not use it at nighttime. I told him that he could do that tomorrow. I've told my older kids to keep an eye on him. But frankly, they have their own things to deal with and cannot keep an eye on him 24/7. I work a lot and their dad does too. Their grandma lives with us and isn't able to chase him down so much. She needs to take care of his health and cook for our kids at the same time, which is already a lot.

Question: Why do people say teen moms can't be successful? Posted: 12 Jul 2019 07:32 AM PDT My cousin was a teen mom. She started college in 2014 and is graduating in 2020. Took her 6 years but she did it.
Question: My mom doesnt care about how i feel? Posted: 12 Jul 2019 05:26 AM PDT When i cry, she always says that im acting or looking for attention. there wasnt one time where she sat me down and asked me how i feel. Her sister defends her while offending my sister and i.
Question: Why did he have this talk with me? Posted: 12 Jul 2019 05:20 AM PDT So he's a young doctor I work with (34 and im 29). We've had our spats or when he's told me something he's realized i have a leader personality since i don't take it well when someone gives me orders (also applying to medical school). I was in his office the other day and he said yeah even working in this company he isn't his own boss might as well work for uber I said yes we go to school for 10 years and still not our own boss. Then he said well at least I'm your boss smiling. I didn't like what he said and looked to my side. He said you didn't like that did you? I said no. He said I know smiling. I said how do you know? He said because no one can tell you anything.. not even your man, looking down (mind you i've never mentioned a man or anything, we've been workign together 2 months and barely becoming comfortable with eachother. I found this strange I said yes because i'm powerful and it has to be equal and he has to respect me. He said yes but you have to put down your walls a bit. I said yes because I don't let people in, no one's on my level. He said I know no one's on my level either. I said really? he said yeah I have my walls up too. I said then why are you telling me to put my walls down when yours are up? He said because I'm working on lowering my walls too. Why did he have this conversation with me? He also always smiles when talking to me, makes jokes etc.Would he say this if he wasn't interested? Would he have this talk with me if he wasn't interested?

Posted: 12 Jul 2019 04:22 AM PDT I feel weird about it but often since I am not real close to this cousin just due to age difference and our mothers not getting along, I don't hear from her but I think my others cousins may (don't know for sure). I extended the outreach that I would be happy to hook up if she is interested. I texted her mother to tell her to tell the daughter and then emailed the mother also. I don't want to do any other outreach or I will be imposing. So if I don't hear from them as I may likely not, how do I avoid feeling like I am less of a family member then the other cousins who may see her? Due to my mother I am less close to them though this aunt sees me a lot along with her son who lives local. I don't want them to know I am sensitive to it as I will seem weird. I only ask questions about it here on Yahoo Answers since no one knows me. I used to reach out too much and it made people uncomfortable, now my social boundaries are a lot better and I'm a lot older. Also she is only here for 2 or 3 days en route to a funeral on the other side of her family. She was here for a week last November for Thanksgiving but I did not see her though I extended the offer via Facebook.
Posted: 12 Jul 2019 03:03 AM PDT She 23 he is 24 they have been dating 3 years is possible my younger sister is sexually active it's a bit embarrassing for me I have Asperger's. It was last week just before they went on holiday. Well I was going to the toilet when heard bang noise no moaning or screams room her bedroom. Annonymous yeah right I am going ask my sister is she having spoon sex with her BF Anonymous would you do it if you were me asking your little sister is she getting some I was hoping she was a virgin.
Posted: 12 Jul 2019 02:52 AM PDT I don't like it because while I'm at work she's at her sister house constantly instead staying back home ...after work I pick her up ...instead going to her sister house she could be cooking at home ...and also as well my girlfriend's cousin stay at her sister house ...her cousin is married do her husband stays with them too .....I think it's inappropriate for her to be there at her sister house everyday when I go to work especially being around someone else's husband.

Question: Is it bad that im 14 and still sleep with my mom? Posted: 11 Jul 2019 11:39 PM PDT i m not scared of the dark or anything. my bed just isn t that comfortable and i prefer sleeping in my moms bed. my dad sleeps on the couch with or without me in there because my mom can t sleep with him since he snores. the only things stopping me from sleeping in my room is that one, i can hardly fall asleep in my room but i sleep in my moms bed like a baby. and two, i m waiting to redo my room in august because right now it s a mess.
Question: Is it a bad idea to foster children and animals when I have 2 kids of my own? Posted: 11 Jul 2019 10:26 PM PDT I was warned that constantly having my kids get attached to someone, then having them leave our home forever will create an unstable environment. There is a large number of both homeless animals and children in our city. I'd love to provide for those in need. However I want to think about my children's well-being first. The other problem is that I don't know how they'll react to having to share their space. They seem so excited to have a temporary pet or a foster child come to our house, but it's still possible that they'll turn out unhappy about it later on. It's the same as a young child begging for a baby sibling, but once they arrive, they become angry and frustrated that the baby can't play with them yet and gets more parental attention/care.
Question: I want my family to call me by my full first name but my parents doesn't accept it!? Posted: 11 Jul 2019 09:02 PM PDT My real first name is Victoria but I've mostly been going by Vicky for the beginning of my life. Now I'm 16 so I want my family to call me by my full first name instead of my nickname(I'm okay with my friends calling me Vicky). To be honest, I prefer going by Victoria because it's a strong yet elegant name; on the other hand Vicky doesn't sound as pretty(I've been having these thoughts since I was about 13). I talked about this with my parents a few times(she calls me Victoria in public because she knows that it's what I prefer) and just right now(with only my mom) but she didn't accept it. I tried explaining to her but she just went into her room without responding(just writing about this made me frustrated); she does that whenever things get heated between us. How can I persuade my parents to call me Victoria instead of Vicky(I have a sister and I'll talk to her about this tomorrow); after all Victoria is my real first name. I just considered asking them to call me by my second given name(my dad said that he doesn't want to call me Victoria all the time since "it's too long"), Sofia. I answer to both Victoria or Sofia so I will suggest that tomorrow. I want some more suggestions. Thanks in advance.
Posted: 11 Jul 2019 08:57 PM PDT my dad made me upset and he took my car and i feel like this anger has been building up for a while and he won't give my car back until i apologize for something i didn't even do and he just took it the wrong way and my mom is calling me a brat because i won't talk to him and i've been distancing myself from him because i'm fed up with him and my moms telling me to talk to him and it's rude but i don't see how it's rude if i talk to him when he talks to me but i just don't talk to him like is it wrong if i don't want to talk to someone, should i apologize and just get my car back and stop being petty or am i in the right here i'm not sure
Question: Is this immature or would you agree with her? Posted: 11 Jul 2019 08:46 PM PDT I'm the youngest of 2 sisters. My middle sister got married first which my oldest hated and she didn't like her for the longest time and I got pregnant before her and my middle sister. My oldest sister is almost 30 and she isn't married or anything so she can't have kids yet which adoption and anything else is out of the question because of cost. My oldest sister hates my guts right now. My baby has been around for 4 months now and my sister hasn't even came by to see him or want to be in his life. She also hates me too. I still live at home and one night my sister came over to get her dog (she only stays in the driveway and we bring her dog out since she doesn't want to come inside and see me or the baby) and I came outside without the baby and she was still in her car but she was beginning to back up out of the drive way when she saw me so I went back inside and she pulled back in the driveway. Is this immature or do you agree with her?
Question: What to do when you have a constantly drunk and abusive dad? Posted: 11 Jul 2019 08:10 PM PDT My dad is constantly abusing every member of my family. He's sexually abused my mom. Physically abused my sister, and emotionally abused me. He just came home drunk and I'm tired of this? What can I do to make things better?!
Posted: 11 Jul 2019 07:31 PM PDT He killed himself and I loved him and had no bad feelings towards him but feel nothing but anxious right now, it has been 7 hours since I found out and an hour or two since I learned how he died. Thank you all, with the exception of bully troll Jim. This morning it is hitting more. I could not sleep.

Question: What should I do about this family situation? Posted: 11 Jul 2019 06:38 PM PDT I'm visiting family from out of state, and a few of the family members make me feel like I don't belong. One family member, cousin, is cold to me and doesn't treat me like family. My other relative, aunt, makes me feel like I'm stupid and I always have the feeling of walking on egg shells most of the time. Controls me, tells me that I'm a spoiled brat because I always get my way. Should I avoid ever speaking to this side of the family? And what is your observation on this matter.
Question: What kind of job can a minor get in NY that pays well? Posted: 11 Jul 2019 05:53 PM PDT
Question: I'm 14 and I NEED to move out? Posted: 11 Jul 2019 05:46 PM PDT I know that in NY it's not legal at my age to move out but I'm being emotionally abused by my dad and when I was 4-11 it was also physical. I feel trapped and I don't know what to do. My parents would never allow me to leave home legally and I don't have any money to run away and no friends or family I can turn to. He said that if I tell the police he'll beat the **** out of me. And to top it all off my mom's bipolar (the actual mental illness not just saying she's acting like that) and I can't take it anymore. CPS came to my house at least 5 times over the years because of my mom neglecting us (besides me there's 2 other minors in the house but I'm the only one being abused) but whenever I tell them I'm depressed and can't anymore or that I was being abused they don't believe me. I need to move out but I don't even know if that's possible at this point...Any advice? I'm not in any sports or anything like that because my dad is controlling and barely lets me out the house. The reason cps doesn't believe me is because my dad keeps denying it and cps automatically assumed that I was being "disrespectful" to my parents because I'm a spoiled brat that needs to be disciplined. My dad made me lie to them when they asked if anyone was abusing me so now they just think I'm saying this to get attention. I know what abuse is I'm not one of the many random teens that claim their parents are abusing them when they take their phone or sum.
Posted: 11 Jul 2019 05:30 PM PDT like if they have such issues with you why do they hinder for you to move out and be independent from them? How to deal with people and a situation as such?
Question: Why is my mom so lousy??? Posted: 11 Jul 2019 04:57 PM PDT Today is my bio mother's 53rd birthday. To celebrate, she wanted me to come over to have lobster and fries with her. I happily agreed as I was picturing hot, buttered, steamed lobsters served in the shell. The type that you have to crack open. We planned for me to come over at 7. When I got to her house (on time may I add), I was shocked to see nothing prepared. The fries weren't ready and I found out that the lobster was the type that was served in a container. The cold, imitation lobster meat. I asked her why didn't she ask me to pick up some steamed lobsters for her?? I was at the store buying her cake and I could have done it! They're not expensive to buy, I can afford it. She didn't give me an answer, just rudely shrugged her shoulders. I hope the lemon cake that I bought will save dinner because I will not be eating any of the other food, because that is disgusting. I regret coming over. I needed to rant because I can't go off on my mom.
Posted: 11 Jul 2019 04:12 PM PDT I like writting the exercises, drawing things whenever possible, but i think that i could use the time i spent on the computer to study. I have no privacy, when I'm watching lessons, I pretend I'm playing games, because I don't want my grandmother to know I'm studying because she's annoying, I'd rather let her think I'm just wasting my time than having her treating me differently just because I'm studying. I don't want to be rude saying she's annoying but the lack of privacy is driving me mad, but that's another problem. I try to do exercises on the Windows Notepad, but I do things much slower that way, i wish there was something better. Since this is not the best way to study I don't plan to study too much that way. I also accept suggestions of any other method of studying in the computer.
