He seemed sweet to me & kind, bye everyone else around me warned me not to mess with him, despite their concerns I continued to talk to him, to develop a more deep relationship. we ended up having a brief relationship. we only kissed once. we talked & dated for what seems to be three months or so. Turns out he was toxic & crazy. one time where we were on the phone, he was acting strange. turns out he was high on pills. After we broke things off he continued to harass me, say disgusting & negative things about me (very explicit things) to MY own friends. eventually he ended up leaving me alone, but the memories stayed stuck with me. in my opinion, my mentality isnt the best, it isnt strong so things hurt me more then its supposed to. this guy mentally, emotionally & verbally abused me. three years later & i found a loving caring guy. hes nothing like the previous one. Problem is, i cant kiss him or do anything normal couples do because i feel traumatized. my question is, is there anyway, any possible way i can let go of this person? so i can move forward with this new relationship? it hurts so much being so traumatized. thank you for any help. |

But we both still hit the brick wall which is him wanting kids and me not. In the past, we ve agreed to "compromise," as in, I ll have one kid even though I don t want any, and he ll have only one even though he really wants several. But as time goes on, we love each other even more, but still both feel strongly opposite. The obvious answer here is that we need to break up. I m wanting to get more opinions though. Please try to understand, this is so hard for us. We love each other so much & have loved each other for the 3 years we ve lived together. There is so much mutual respect and our relationship is literally bliss and happiness almost 24/7. It s not a honeymoon phase thing, it s been three years. We actually go together so well. And all of our other goals align. But this is so difficult to deal with because we ve both always felt differently. And the thing is, I can t even say for certain that I will NEVER want kids, but I also definitely cannot say that I will FOR SURE want kids. The truth is that I need more time to think about it and I don t think I d know until I was truly ready several years down the line. And he has been willing to agree that we will wait quite awhile; I m 21 and he s 23, and we ve agreed to wait at least several years. But it s still hard because while I can t say I will never want kids, he can say that he MUST have kids, and I m not sure I can give him that. Advice? |

I am currently finishing a bachelors degree in global studies (a degree I chose because of my love for language learning). I know that I want to go to grad school but I am just trying to figure out the best place for me. I would like to pursue a degree in anthropology in a new city. My current GPA is a 3.9 at my current university can anyone give me some suggestions on good places for me to move to based on schools that would be a good fit? I have been looking into Emory in Atlanta and the University of Texas in Austin. It is hard to find a place that I want to move to because there are so many pros and cons of every city. |
