Ever since I was young I've had this issue. I have never really had a lot of friends. Recently, I realized that nobody texts me first so I decided to wait until someone would text me and I realized that nobody was. It made me feel like nobody liked me. I have asked people why they don't like me. I know that I can be really mean with my jokes and come off as pretentious but are these the only reasons. What else could it be? I want to be able to make friends that I can have for a lifetime but I feel like I just keep gaining and losing friends over and over again.

So I've been friends with this group of girls for a while and we kind of drifted off into two separate groups and my group doesn t really like the other girls but I still like them and I'm friends with them. A few days ago I hung out with the girls from the other group and my friends m last night I hung out with the girls from the other group and my "best" friends are really really mad at me and saying I lied to them. I have no idea how they found out that I was there but I feel so bad but at the same time it's not really up to them to dictate who I spend time with. I called them like 5 times and have texted them a lot of apologies but they're does not returning my calls or texts. What should I do? Am I in the wrong?

should i just cut them out of my life?

What if Asians took over American and enslaved us Americans! We were forced to use chop sticks as they took away our forks and knifes. We have to learn and abide by their culture or else. Asian people exterminate the blacks, but enslave the whites and other foreign people, and lock Asian Americans up accusing them of being traitors. What would we amercians do?

I'm an introvert at heart and I took all my time to hang out with them all this summer 2018 now I'm wanting to get space that's all I asked is that now I get my alone time and will see them when I'm ready, they took it as I'm being fake and deleted me off Facebook lol I'm tired explaining myself to people. Should I just stay away for good? They seem selfish

I am the only girl in my High School AP Physics class. My classmates are my friends and we like to gather at my home and jointly do on our homework. It is a very hard class with lots of homework. Some of the problems we have a hard time solving. One of my classmates said let's ask you mom Jill for help. He did and mom instantly came up with the answer. They did this several times and mom always came up with the answer. This was amazing to my classmates. One of them said to me "How is it possible that your mom is so beautiful and so smart? That does not compute". Is that a compliment for my mom or an insult to all women? YOUR OPINION PLEASE.

So I've been texting this woman whom was a year behind me in high school. She's told me she's not interested in dating me although I'm nice looking in her opinion. So when her and I do text she doesn't share much information about herself. She said the only way to learn about someone is by hanging out with them. I'm flattered that she wants to hangout with me but I like to text too because it's convenient. I asked her how her previous relationship was and she said it's pointless to discuss because it didn't help anything. She's invited me over to her apartment to talk. I want to see her place one day.

I got a call from my friend Alice who wanted to meet me for lunch. She had a problem she wanted my advice on. At lunch, she told me her son in law (her daughter's husband) wanted her to loan him some money. She had already made him 3 loans and he had not paid any of those 3 loans back. She wanted to know if she should make him a 4th loan. I told her this is a VERY TOUGH situation. She should probably consider the 3 pervious loans as gifts as the odds are VERY LOW they will be paid back. I told her I think the best approach would be to tell him that after he paid back the previous loans, she would consider making him a new loan. I told her to be prepared from a bad reaction from him and also possibly from her daughter. If there are grand children involved, be prepared to hear you will not see your grand children again. I told Alice to think very carefully what she wanted to do. I predict if she made another loan, there will be a request for a 5th loan in the future. I hope I gave her good advice. Do you think I did?

Friend, who once was boyfriend, of almost a year did not come see me after my heart transplant surgery in August 2018 because he say it is to much traffic to travel to the hospital. The hospital is in New Orleans, La and we are a small town outside of Baton Rouge, La. It is the main reason why I broke up with him, and the downside of it is he has been my only friend for a long time. He also say it does not make sense because he can see me on the weekends while I am home. The few times he did come over I did get treated well by him while in a relationship. He cooked, cleaned, made sure I didn't fall while walking around my apt and entering the shower. It still really bothers me that he did not come and I remember after transplant I was out of it mentally. I was sitting in a chair looking out the window crying because I wanted him to be there for me, and he was not there. I just asked him a few minutes ago and he say please don't start up with this **** again; You are being selfish and only thinking of yourself being you, and after I hung up in his face. He is not that bad of a person, but I can't stand this about him and want to know if a good idea to leave my only friend at this time alone or..? I been here in New Orleans for 3 months at an apartment recovering and he still has not come to see me.

everyone thinks im too embarrassing to be around or just cringey. like i said i wanted to be a doctor and someone told me i wouldn't look right being one.

I have a friend that has not graduated college. She flipflops between wanting to be a surgeon to a wriiter? She works like 3 jobs and is currently writing a script for a TV show...hoping that it will somehow make it to a network... I love my friend and I want to be encouraging but her dreams and ideas usually lead nowhere. She is such a nice person so she is usually encouraged by family and friends but she honestly sounds insane! She can't hold down a steady full time job...One week she wants to be a surgeon and it leads nowhere and the next she wants to be an actor, screenwriter, or director. I don't want to be a jerk and bring her down but she's 29 and at this point I feel like she should just find a stable job and earn herself a good income to move out of her parents home. Instead she's "starting a dog shelter" or fighting climate change. Ugh, I just don't get it. I think she just needs a reality check.

A) I told my friend what she was doing made me feel uncomfortable and awkward (she was threatening to slapped my crush with chop sticks at a restaurant) I told her next time just say she doesn't like the way he treats me and move on to different topic I told her that's all she talked about how gay he looks, threatening to slapped him, talk crap about him which made me feel uncomfortable and awkward I asked her if she could do that for me I would appreciate it. She told me she's gonna speak her mind. B) one of our mutual friends sent me a Facebook group message with her....I ended the friendship with her 6 weeks ago....I told the mutual friend not to send me a group message with her and I explained to him why. I told him I would appreciate it if he doesn't send me a group message with her and he said okay.

No need for pity, I'd rather live a life without friends. I do have a lot family around so I'm not entirely lonely, just bored. They do have their own kids and their own problems so on days like these I'm on my own.

We had fun the first time we hanged out and went to the movies a week ago. She even said "hang out soon?" Before she left my car and we FaceTimed later. She sent me a couple snap chats since then. We texted a good amount since then. We were friends for two years befor we hanged out just mostly text friends but we shared personal stuff with each other. I never pushed her I didn't even call it a date cause I didn't want to freak her out. But I asked her yesterday if she was still down for our next movie but didn't respond to text. We chatted a little on snap chat and I didn't bring it up the movie. I just sent another text about movie but didn't respond. She did say Friday she was at the end of her period so she was cranky all day. Is it normal for a girl to be like that?

I moved to D.C. from Atlanta in June and made new friends. My job did not pay for my relocation at the time and my friends offered to let me stay with them while I settled in. Everything was good at first. We were all friendly and everything was great. Well last month...things went down hill. My "friends" starting to disrespect me and my upbringing. They started to make me feel inferior because I was living with them. Among other things, they were beginning to be shitty friends. The last straw was when one of the guys made horrible jokes about my mental health issues. I have severe depression and anxiety. Those issues affect my day to day activities. So I finally moved out yesterday and I still feel some type of way about them. Should I delete them on social media and block their number. Or is that immature? I am really hurt by this

I've been friends with these girls for 3 to 4 years, lets call them B and C, we got really close and we know everything about each other - or so I thought. B has been talking badly behind my back to C and I dont understand why, I help her out and take her places whenever she needs a ride and cant afford the cab. C believes B, I also dont understand why because I helped her and supported her with her studies whenever she was freaking out and calling me at all hours of the day. Now B and C both left, I always see them comment on each others pictures on social media, flattering each other, but I dont get the same love. Now its almost christmas and they should be coming back to the country and I'm being a complete idiot waiting for them to tell me when they're coming back and if they wanna make plans. I don't want to be this pathetic waiting person anymore but I dont know how to let go, What can I do?

He got an award for top employee. He's the one who works the early mornings, and I work the evenings. However, I'm the one who's been here longer so I have seniority. He has it in his head that he is the one who is "running the business and making everything work" even though he's not the manager. I'm the one who actually works my butt off and does all the menial tasks that no one wants to do. Basically, without me, everything would fall apart. But they don't see it and they praise the guy who's all self-righteous and proud. Does anyone see the problem here?

I used to have a friend in middle school who i bullied and i lost him and now its been over 5 years and now im in my high school junior year. He was a good friend, i want to apologize to him for being so horrible and become his friend again. So i know what high school he goes to but i have no idea what time he gets out.    I did wait near the school but couldnt see him because the crowds of people were too big. I  need a neat stratagy on how i can get in touch with him. Or get his attention that someone is looking for him.   Anyone have a clever way i can get to him somehow?

Okay so I was at a party today with a group of like 12 close friends and we were in a circle talking and everyone was talking about how I'm really happy all the time and one girl said "I think it's a facade" and I laughed and said "honestly yeah it kind of is!!" And everyone god soo sad and I was like no guys I'm fine I just have problems dealing with my anger sometimes!! But now everyone's worried about me and I hate it because everyone is depressed nowadays and I wanted to be that one happy person who helped other people be happy!! So do you think I overshared?? Because I should've just said my happiness wasn't a facade.... and I regret saying anything now omfg.

My girlfriend has hard time making female friends. She just doesn't click that well with them. She does try, but it seems to be a struggle for her. She really doesn't have an issue making male friends. She seems to have a lot easier of a time talking with them. I've seen it happen myself. All she really has is male friends Why is it so easy for her to make male friends, butna struggle for female friends?

Hey! So there s a guy in my class that is almost 40 I think and is always making bad jokes like they are the funniest in the world. That already annoyed me, but! When I have to make pairs with him, he keeps on invading my personal space! I got a cup of tea before class and he took it from me like he was going to drink it. Then I got a cup of cold water. As I put it in the table and was going to sit down, he does the exact same thing!!! I ignored, didn t even look at him and sighted. This trick was getting old real fast. I was getting mad and he asked me what was wrong? Man, do you even think before doing things? Omg. How do I get away from him? After school I was writing a speech with my friend and he told us to sit WITH HIM! Omg.. I don t want to talk to him, or sit with him, or be his friend. I want distance. I didn t sleep well last night, but it s not like he doesn t get on my nerves when I m rested. And now I can t sleep because of how pissed I am! Someone, please help me!

My roommate's friend went out to smoke on our fire escape and kept the window open. I came out into living room and it smelled like cigarettes. We have agreed before no smoking in apartment. I know this wasn't inside but he kept the window open so the smoke came inside. Am I being unreasonable? How should I talk to my roomie about this?

She moved from ny to Missouri to Arizona and she won't talk to me she won't text me back she unfollowed me on instagram and she didn't accept my Facebook friend request. If I send her a message she won't talk to me at all

For the past few months I've been searching for a place to live next fall with two long-time friends. We were originally looking at on-campus apartments, but began to consider renting a house instead (they're significantly cheaper than the apt complexes nearest our uni). A week ago, out of the blue, two random numbers were added to our House Group Chat, leaving me somewhat confused. I messaged the original two girls in our other GC asking who the new numbers were. I was told that they were two girls they had met who would be rooming with us. I was surprised, considering no one had told me of this change beforehand. I tried not to let it get to me. Now, the two new girls want us to get an apt since it'll be closer to the "social center". I messaged the House GC, asking them if we could all get together sometime soon and discuss what we're each looking for in terms of living situations. Ignored. I messaged my two friends separately to see if we could hang out within the next few days. I was pretty hurt that they didn't bother to include me in the decision rooming with two strangers; I wanted to talk in person so as not to come off as snarky or self-centered. That message was also ignored. I KNOW they were ignored because minutes later the subject was changed in BOTH GM's. I don't know if I should ask again, or just let it go. Please let me know if I'm overreacting or reading too deep into it. I really don't want to cause issues with them. Any advice helps!

I'm a 25 year old guy and my name is Daniel, and I work for a cell phone company. I'm friends with this girl Sabrina, I kinda have feelings for her. But shes been Married for 8 years and I'm not ruining a Marriage. Alot of people always tell me " doo know shes married?" Why do you keep talking to her if shes married.?" We see eachother twice a week and we are good friends at work. She has told people that she enjoys my company and I'm a great guy. But alot of people always judge me since me and her are always together. should I stop talking to her to avoid conflict???????? We are definitely not doing anything wrong. We are only friends.
