I have struggled with shyness all my life. I'm 18 out of highschool and barely have been working 2 months and start college next month. I made a guy friend that used to work there but we still text and hang out. My two close friends from highschool are far doing there own thing.so I have been unable to make many new friends. At the end of July I want to go to a hotel/resort place in la where they have a pool and you can just relax and eat and lounge around and have a good time in the sun. But just for a day since I have only one day off Sunday. I have no one to go with, going with parents is kind of lame and I am not close with my cuzins,I can't make friends til college, so I feel wierd if I were to go by myself it would be boring but I have no other choice, what do you guys think? I'm a girl. I need to go out more. I can't ask my guy friend to go with me he has a gf,he might go to the beach or pier with me if I ask him but still.it sucks to be alone. Okay this is gonna be a long one so brace yourself.If you look back at my previous questions i was at my friends baby brothers christening and they had a bounce house to celebrate. I'm 14 and I'm gonna be a sophomore (9th grade, 14 & 15 year olds are sophomores instead of freshmen here in Vancouver, Canada because we start high school a year early). I find that girls around 10-12 are really annoying. They don't even know what love is, but they still "date" and in their mind it's making out, hanging out, texting, gossiping, and trying to impress people. However they don't go further than saying "I love you" here because kids are still in elementary school in 6th-7th grade since we don't have middle schools so that means that they probably don't have as much time unsupervised because they're still in elementary so they follow the elementary system: there's supervisors during recess and lunch and after school I'm sure most parents wouldn't let them go running wild. They're always talking about boys, getting their bras and periods, and DRAMA!! Teens my age already cause drama, theirs is like 10x worse. When I was at that age around 2-4 years ago (10-12) girls caused tons of drama too. Why do kids start so much drama at this age? It's mainly girls, I don't see many tween boys doing that. I have a 19 year old friend who I've known for years and this 11 year old girl who will be in 6th grade follows us around a lot, tells us all about this guy she likes and how she's backstabbing her ex-friend because she became one of the popular girls, etc. Her mom didn't let her dye her hair so she decided to mix PAINT with water and tried to dye her hair out of that! I guess that whole hair dye thing failed, because the next day she was like, "oh it didn't work out". Some 5th & 6th graders from my old elementary school try to be those popular high schoolers who are intimidating and mean that you see on TV, books, and movies. They put glittery pens all over their faces and lip gloss as well. They're obsessed with anything that they think a TEEN GIRL might like (two are obsessed with Kidz Bop and Justice for Girls) Apparently those two are obsessed with Kidz Bop (called Mini Pop Kids here in Canada) because in some advertisements there's some young teens singing the songs. Most teens don't shop at Justice. They pretend to be cheerleaders (we don't have cheerleading in our school district but I guess they copy what they see in movies).

Okay so I know that this sounds ridicilous but I was invited to my ex-bestfriend's birthday whom I've been friends with for 8 years , and apparently I have to go. Hi guys I'm just wondering. I was organising my model train collection when I noticed something strange on my finger. My friend said it's autism. I've been noticing these strange marks for a while but it's most noticeable on my index finger. I don't understand how I could have caught the autism, but my friend suggested it was from eating paleo (which I started 3 months ago), and my mom said I probably got it from giving head to my best friend, which I think must be a joke or something because I've never been decapitated but I may have tried to do it when I was drunk. My doctor said that the best way to prevent autism is by socialising, so I've began to learn about cosplay and attend conventions, I read it's a great place to meet people. My friend and I took an art camp together a few weeks ago. She texted me earlier saying that she thought we were taking it again together. I asked my mother if she signed me up for it. She didn't. I told my mother to tell my friend's mother. My friend's mother was fine with it, but my friend texted me very angrily. She said that she was only doing the camp because she thought that I was doing it. She reminded me that the camp she signed up for was 200-300$ and that she never wanted to do it alone. "Ever." I told her I was sorry and that I didn't know I wasn't signed up. I didn't even know she was doing the camp. She responded saying that this wouldn't have happened if "your mom did what she said she was going to do." Ok first off I do not have children....yet so I am ignorent but that is why I ask here. :-) My neice Kimberly likes to wear her short nightgown at night but but my Sister always makes her wear a robe around Daddy especially if she has on her nicer underpants. So yeah I have a few school friends who I don't really jang out win and another good friend I guess. idk why I can't make friends. I'm not shy really but I guess I wouldn't be considered out going. I play soccer and I have so many friends there but they don't go to my school or even in my grade for that matter. Everyday, my friend always has problems and she's always at the point of committing suicide, I'm the only one who has to make her stop, but it's really hard. It takes me an hour of telling her how she's a good person and I would be sad if she was gone. She's is convicted that she has to leave. I'm the only one that helps her! Omg help me! The pastor that did the service had been asked by a few people if they could stand at the front and say a few things about my mom at her funeral. One of her friends got up there and talked about her and personal things that were just awful. Nobody did or said anything at the time but a bunch of my family was super mad, including me. I live in a different state from this lady. Should I write a letter to this woman telling her how what she did was awful? Should I text her? I'm really mad. I'm really really mad. My classmate can't come take her exam on Monday because a relative's gf died. The test is this week. She texted me repeatedly for the professors email until I was able to respond with it. I have a housemate, who keep following everything I do. What I bought and put inside the fridge, the following day, she will buy the same thing. She even opened up all my plastic bags in the freezer and checked what I bought. And she will buy the same food. My wife's favorite word seems to be 'fake'... she uses it so much and she uses it a lot on me too. Here's what I do to get this title. We invited co-workers over for lunch (she has no friends and I'm trying to get couples, so she can have some friends), so I cleaned up a little, I didn't even go overboard, just small things. I don't do this with friends, but I wanted to make a good first impression on this couple. When we were talking, she started mentioning things about abortion and I quickly changed the topic, another 'fake' thing that I do. She also starts talking about my stomach problems or my weight issues among other embarrassing stuff... which I changed the topic of. She thinks I'm being fake, because I don't tell them everything... but the thing is these are weird things to talk about over lunch... especially when you aren't that close to the other person. And it's very clear that others get uncomfortable. I'm also polite, even to people I don't like, she says this is also another example of how fake I am... an example is, I was invited to a work event and I took her with me, but before I told her, "hey, avoid talking about personal life in detail and don't talk about anything negative, just shallow things. Most of these people aren't my friends and I don't want them to know anything about my personal life." That word really irked me before... but now even more so. So am I a fake person? Do you guys deem these actions justify earning this label? She just generally creates an aura of unease whoever she talks to... she somehow picks conversations that either offends someone, makes them mad or just uncomfortable, she never tells these kinds of stories about herself though.

i tell every smart person here that you should not be interested in people that have brown eyes and dark skin. you should only be friends with your brothers or sisters because they have something to do with you and they are you. and you are them. kind of. but try to not be friends with unknown DNA. or blood type. and if there are no friends like you out there i suggest you go to your house and start grabbing some herb and do a tea with it. (without sugar) and try drinking it about 3 to 5 times a day and you will feel better. i know life is a ***** and is hard and unfair. good luck

The boss in the department I work for took a 3 week vacation and appointed me to take his place while he was away. I thought there might be a problem having a lot of men working for a woman (me) but that was not the case. We all had a nice working relationship. On the Friday the day before our boss returned from vacation my coworkers brought in a cake for me to share with everyone. The cake had this written on it. "You were a great boss and the most beautiful boss we have ever had". The Human Relations guy told my co workers not to do that again as it was a sexual thing to do. The next Monday when our boss returned from vacation my co workers told our boss what the Human Relations guy had told them. He said "Screw the Human Relations guy". "I agree 100 percent with what was written on the cake". I am not sure how I should feel about this. Should I tell my boss and my co workers thank you for the compliment? Did my co workers do something wrong?

A few months ago, my cousin and I would always FaceTime. One day, he was annoyed by a song I was playing and ended the FaceTime and ignored me for the rest of the day. I haven't facetimed them in 5 months and when I did now, they ignored me again (I know because it shows that they ended it). What do I do?

A couple years ago someone said something offensive to me on Xbox Live. I was hurt by it. A couple weeks after that the one who said the offensive thing to me was in a party with some of my friends that I gamed with at the time. The party was on invite only. I messaged my friend why the party was on invite only and he said that the guy that offended me was in the party. I messaged another friend to ask him to leave the party and he sent me a voice message saying "I don't care about your beef against so and so he is my close personal friend and I would never ask him to leave the party." After he sent me that message I sent him a text message saying that I hope his friend gets brain cancer and dies from it. I know that it was harsh for me to say that but I was just hurt and angry at the guy who sent me the offensive message. Now I did apologize for saying what I did and he hasn't forgiven me and I don't think he will ever forgive me.

I am at a difficult time in my life where I honestly don t know what I should do:/ Part of me wants to go to college with my best friend at the same college, and another part of me wants to go to a different college and explore new things and make new friends. We both live in different states he lives in California and I live in Ohio last week I went back to see him. He and I were intimate again and we had fun together he took me McDonald's for breakfast and then to this nice park he wanted to buy me pizza but I told him I didn't want him to. Also he wanted to take me to the beach but it was way too hot outside. Then we went back to my hotel and we had Chinese food he spent the night with me for a couple of nights. He and I aren't in a long distance relationship I do enjoy going to see him. He said that he didn't want to be in a serious relationship and neither do I. I told him that I enjoyed spending time with him and he said he did too. And that I wanted to come back in December and he said ok. He asked me how much was I paying to take Uber to the airport I believe he wanted to drive me but I told him I didn't have to pay much. He and I are not in a long distance relationship. When I told him thanks for meeting me he said it was his pleasure. He said that he enjoyed it too and thanked me for not overwhelming him. At one point he said he didn't have anything to offer me. But I told him that I wasn't in a position to be in a serious relationship right now either.

We are both 19. We have always called each other our "best friend", and she comes to me about her problems or for advice every day. She even complains about her friends (who I don't know personally, they live in her city) and tells me that they use her and are rude. But she ends up hanging out with them & calling them her best friends on social media. I know that she is a good friend, but I find this a bit hypocritical?

Then one day it was over, she acted liked everything was fine, but it was all different. She stopped hanging out, texting, and treated me different when she saw me. She is never mean, but distant and no where near as friendly as we were. She said this is how she normally is. What happened?

i know someone who's sign other died last yr few months ago, not sure how to put this but its been 7 months since the passing, i have sent her cards along the way, in a way of support in the long haul, i thought she likes to get them, i think she has been getting them since i started writing. i got a thank you note 2 months after the passing. Since then, i haven't gotten another response from her, not even a phone call, even i provided email/phone every time i wrote to her, she wouldn't respond. and Im wondering why? Is it something i did to make her mad, did i say the wrong thing? Or is she simply going thru her long term grieving of her sign other and she is *really* struggling? I don't know for sure. But that was the only time that it got a thx note from her. Or does she feel like I'm intruding on her life? I dont know if the loss of her sign other has something to do with it, I don't think its' me, i think its just her thats the issue.i came up with this idea after her sign others passing. bc i knew that she was going to struggle with the loss and that she has been married to this person for a very long time, almost 61 yrs coming up on there anniversary. I would like to talk to her in person,I will continue to write her, but not sure how this will go on the long run? Is this something that she will ever heal from? i hope that she can get to a place where she can be just fine and be happy with life? I know we don't know ea/other that well, I think she knows. i think she would like a visit from someone, but i know a relative or a friend has been saying with her thru the whole time and I'm sure that must of helped, but i fear that she will never get back with me, even if she sent the thank u note?
