I have known this guy for about 9 years. We were dating but decided we were more compatible as friends. We keep in touch frequently and hang out when we have the time. However I have noticed a change with him within the last 3 months that I've never noticed in the years I've known him. 3 months ago is around the time he made a new friend from work. In the years I have known him, he really didn't have many friends or people to hang out with. So anyway since then it's been extremely difficult to maintain a friendship with him because he is hard to get ahold of and when I ask to make plans he isn't sure if he will be busy or not, and when the time comes, he says he has plans and it's either with this new friend or "friends", but he doesn't let me know who and won't ever talk about them or talk about what they did. And when I ask him he will get super defensive and basically act like it's none of my business since I don't know these people. I thought that was weird so I have stopped asking him. He has a history of drug addiction. Before he met me he almost died of a cocaine overdose. He stopped doing hard drugs and I've only ever seen him drink or smoke weed. Now I am thinking he may be doing something again because of his secretive behaviour and the fact that there are times where I don't hear from him for a very long time, which is not like him as he is usually attached to his phone. I know I am not his keeper but I am just worried that he could be doing drugs.

...wish I could be normal friends with her. Because we used to be best friends. But she doesn't know that I want to be normal friends with her. I'm now trying to be more kind/nicer to her and everyone. I tried to apologise to her, but she just said it was ok and did nothing else. What could I do to let her know that I wish we could be normal friends, or do you have any tips? BTW I feel a little sad when I see something (like a photo) of us together, being happy.

Joining a club is good advice, but what about in classes? Classes are usually more fun when there is a friend in it; how can I achieve this? In Highschool what usually happened is I had friends in some classes, and I didn't have friends in other classes. Some people were just easier to talk to and I already knew. I'm kind of socially backwards and any advice would be appreciated.

Also, is it rude, tacky or wrong to even ask someone who just gave you a gift if they purchased it with a gift card?

So I'm 16, and since I was like 9 I've had an extreme problem. Trichotillomania. It's caused me such insecurity, but I finally stopped pulling at the end of December 2017. Anyway, my best friend recently got an apprenticeship at a hair salon. She asked me if I wanted to be her model, she needs to do a wash & blow dry. She can see the issue with my hair (the top parts are kinda short, and after using the hair dryer they go really sticky-up and puffy, looks like an Afro) but obviously hairdressers have special tools to help it. I told her I was uncomfortable and she says that's okay, her trainer can help her and she can discuss options with me to help my hair. It's in 6 days. It will be out of my comfort zone, I usually wear the same hairstyle everyday and so it will be different to just let my hair down , I am determined to do it although I will be insecure, same way I am when I get my hair cut (very rarely). Should I wear my hair how I usually do on the way there, and then after the blow dry , put it back in the hairstyle and then go home? Thanks.

My mon convinced her friend Helen to buy a computer so they could communicate with email. Mom asked me to train Helen on how to use the computer. I agreed to do the training. I went to Helen's house on a Saturday and started her training. As I was leaving Helen's husband, Al told me he did not want me coming back to their house. I said OK but I ask him why. He said he did not want his wife around other men. The next Saturday, Helen called me and wanted to know what time I was coming over. I told her I could not come back and what Al had told me. She was outraged. She said "That is the last straw. I am filing for divorce Monday morning from that control freak of a husband. About a month later I got a call from Al. Helen had kicked him out of the house. Al wanted me to call Helen and tell her he was drunk when he told me he didn't want other men around his wife and that he did not mean it. I don't know if he meant it but he was NOT drunk. I told Al I was not getting involved their martial problems. In fact I don't want to have any contact with either of them EVER. I don't mean to sound like an *** but I am a very ambitious person and I like to work on various types of large projects. Right now I am working on a short film and my friends like the idea of helping and being in it but they don't seem to want to put in the work. Most of my friends are drug addicts. And I know some of you don't consider marijuana a drug but I do and if people are showing up high they can't preform their very best. Where do I find people who are more stable?

My friend and I were talking on the phone and he was driving. Suddenly, he said there was something he had to take care of. He began shouting as though he were engaging someone on the road in a road rage situation. He at least told me to call 911. I was stunned and said are you serious?...He said no, just messing with you.....Do I have no since of humor?. (He's a professional truck driver also) Please tell me how I should have reacted, I simply said, I gotta go and hung up. Never done anything like that before

Let me just start off by saying that im not trying to be whiny, I feel like this is a legitimate problem. I am 16 year old guy. and my parents confuse me. they are for the most part very lenient, they let me get a tattoo, they had no problem with that. they really don't care what i watch and do inside the house. But they would never even consider letting me be with friends (my own age btw) I am not a bad teenager, i do well in school, and my friends are good people, i do have stoner friends but they are not the people i'm trying to hang out with. I don't think i did anything to make them think i should not hang out with friends the worse thing they've seen from me was my search history so what i'm asking is what should i do, i don't understand why they wont let me hang out with my friends, i don't think its a danger thing, i am 6 foot 1 inch and weigh 200 pounds and play football. what should i do guys? im lonely AF

Long story short. I'm a college student, I live with my uncle who has NPD and PTSD. Ever since I moved in he's been causing problems with me. He gossips about me, tells my mom false information thinking my mom will side with him. But all of his problems center around me not giving him attention and it really creeps me out. This guy has dragged my name thru the mud, I can hear him talking really bad about me to his friends, our roommates. Why would I feel comfortable talking with him? I take care of myself without my families help and I have been since I was a teen. So I'm accustomed to being self sufficient. If I can do it for myself, I will try and I have been. I pay rent, I do my own thing. Go to school, hang at my boyfriends house then I go to my room to study. This month he's upset because he thinks "I dont say Hi enough or I don't say it first". He also told my mom he hates that I bake alot but he never tell me any of these things. It's super frustrating to have to have this "Talk" about such petty things only this man is creating. I think I'm going to have to move out and stay with my bf until I can find a small room or roommates. You guys I literally bother no one. I clean the whole house because he never cleans. I do the dishes, take the trash out. I don't know what's wrong with this guy.

So im in college. I've been hooking up with this girl from Peru. she's cool and all, except for one thing. Her snatch is incredibly hairy. Now Im ok with hair on top but this girl has hair all over... like all over and around it. Full on bush. You can tell she never groomed down there in her life. I've been friends with these two girls since middle school. However one day they just started to act extremely toxic, fake, and rude. I decided to cut the friendship off, yet I forgave them once. However, they continued to act fake towards me. They tried to "forgive" again, yet they were still talking behind my back. I let them know that I honestly won't forgive them, as I knew how fake they were. I decided to ignore them, block them and let them know that I'm not accepting their fake apologies. The original issue happened years ago (I'm currently a junior in high school). However, my friends follow their social media accounts. They have let me known that they are still talking about me, making fun of what I post, and stuff like that. I already tried to ignore them, yet they're still posting stuff about me for everyone to see. And I still don't understand why they do this. If they never liked me in the first place, why can't they just forget about me like any other person? Why can't they just ignore me, carry on with their lives, and not act like immature children who can't stop being jerks to me (and other people they've made fun of)? It's already been 3+ years since the original issue has occurred, which has been too long. Instead, they continue to wonder what I'm doing, even after I tried to block and ignore them. They always find a way to be passive aggressive and somehow let me know that they're still going to bother me. Is there any idea on how to fix this issue?

Okay so my hs is literally trash. Everyone there just doesn't fit my personality and I feel like I can never truly be friends with someone there. But then I met this girl and she was literally what I look for in a friend. But now she's moving. I even thought of leaving schools before but now I don't have anything else to stay for. But I'm going into grade 10 and my freshman year was horrible. The education is fine..at least because I've only had good teachers so far. I'd talk to my best friend anytime I had a problem or an issue and I'd listen to her problems as well. And she's moving to the complete opposites side province of me. So I'll have to take a plane to visit her in person, which I can't do. The only thing that kept me going was at least I have that one friend that truly gets me. But now I don't have her either. And I know high school goes by fast and all but I don't want my memories to be bad. Everyone here is so fake. But on the other hand I don't wanna stress my parents out with transferring schools. And is it worth it? The school I'm interested in has a 4.6/5 star rating so it clearly isn't bad. I hate being at home and now I'll hate being at school. Please don't tell me to meet new people. Let me explain. A friend of mine said that low class people curse a lot and not to curse around him. Is this true? He does surround himself with mainly high class people but does he have a point...? I'm one of his only friends that uses curse words. He's also an Atheist, so it's not a moral thing.

I'm supposed to be a junior and I turn 16 until November. I need to take a driver's permit test to receive a state ID and I need to be 16 to be eligible. I feel left out because I went on a sports field trip and we had to bring identification with us and I felt like I was the only sophomore who has only a school ID. Everyone was talking about how ugly they were in their state ID. Iwas so embarrassed to not have any state ID. Almost everyone in my high school class is 16 and I am so young I haven't reached that age yet. How do I stop feeling so embarrassed?
