I posted this alrrady but this is edited. Im 14 and a girl. I have two cats and a mom and a sister. I have no other family and I don t have any close friends. Today my mom hurt me, and my sister did too. Don t worry I am fine, there is only a scratch on my head. I go to a middle class school where girls are prettier than me and boys don t like me. I failed a grade but no one at school knows. I try to keep my age secret so nobody finds out. Sometimes im happy. Sometimes I forget about my life. I enjoy my cats, my favorite shows, my friends. Sometimes im horny too. When im horny I think about an older guy touching me or ******* me. I have never had any sexual encounters so I guess that is why I fantasize. Im happy while having thise thoughts. I get along with my family sometimes too. Mostly my mom. While my mom was screaming and cursing at me , my 20 year old sister was sticking her tounge out at me. Then when I was on the floor crying, she put her middle finger up at me. My mom isn t bad, she is nice. She just believes I do not care and that I want the worst for my family . I try to show her I care, but she just picks out everything I do wrong. I also believe in God. Sometimes I just think im selfish for asking for a believe in God. I trust and love God. Maybe if I died, I would be able to see God. Idk why i wrote this Its not like I need convincing not to kill myself. I won't, I just want to. I guess I wanted to tell someone this

Question: Is it okay to let my kids see my father (he is an alcoholic) as long as I am there with them?

People think I am crazy to let my kids around an alcoholic but I don't see what the big deal is. I would NEVER leave them unsupervised and we don't go a lot. But for things like holidays I don't want to punish my kids and make them miss out because my father has decided to refuse help. I do explain it to them and we left early once when one son was uncomfortable (my Dad gets moody). So am I an idiot to do this or am I handling it right? I tell the kids what he has and how dangerous alcohol can be and I never leave them alone with him. We left early the one time my 7 year old became upset.

Question: My parents hurt me by saying no to an invitation during this year's super bowl. How do I get over this hurt they caused?

My aunt asked us over and my parents said no. I could have had a fun night instead my memory of the greatest super bowl ever is wrecked. They declined because they ":didn't feel like it" as they always say and all my cousins were there. My mother doesn't like family and so I missed out. She likes hurting me.

Being away from my friends is causing me to be unnaturally sad. I'm grounded for an undetermined time but it's going to be very long. Its already been 1 month and I can't deal with it. This feeling is close to depression. I've thought about talking to my mom (my dad is not reasonable) about what I am saying here but I know she will just say something like "You should have thought about that before you messed up," or "It's your fault not mine." I don't know what to do. It has gotten to the point where I have been sneaking out for only like 2 hours just to be with people. I don't know what to do. Anyone with an idea of what I can do, please tell me.

Right now I am 15 and my mother seldom lets me go see family and it makes me side against my mother. If she would let me have a relationship with them then I'd be neutral. Instead I am on her families side as she is the one disadvantaging me. She hates them because of a money issue and because they did not protect her when she was being abused by her step-father (now in prison). I agree the step-father is a bad guy and I'd have nothing, ever, to do with him. But everyone else is good guys. Also her mother thought the abuse would stop if she yelled at her husband, she didn't know it would continue. nevin0020----She had the right to be FURIOUS when it happened and what her step-father did, now ex-step-father, was unforgivable. He will likely go to hell. However, the rest of her family is fine and I should not be alienated from them due to my mother's problems forgiving. If she wants to boycott them then she can do that all she wants. I am being punished for the behavior of a pedophile I have only met once.

Hi, I'm 20 years old and my parents and younger brother (18) live with me (yes, THEY live with ME, not the other way around. It's my house). My parents started fostering a 14 years old girl 2 days ago. She started acting up the minute she came into my house. Some infos about her: she's adopted, has ODD, ADHD, ASPD and RAD. Her adoptive parents can't live with her anymore. Back to the first day: I helped her unpack. When my parents came back, she told them I said they where pushovers. I never said that. Her parents warned us about her manipulative behavior. My parents didn't believe her of course and told her she can't play games with us. She also complains that she has a curfew and I don't. I'm an adult, married, have a child, graduated from college and university by age 18 (!!!) and own my own Business. Why should I have a curfew in my own house? She doesn't get that my parents have no authority over me. We are more friends than parent-child now. This is normal. She also disrespects me by rolling her eyes, repeating my words in a mock tone when I tell her off. It's not her place to tell my parents and me how we should treat each other. She's also hitting on my husband all the time. She doesn't do her chores. We wanted to cut her some slack at first but now we have t8 decide what to do. What should we do? I honestly want her gone already but I want to give her a chance. What is the appropriate consequence? Grounding? No Cellphone? Anything else?

This past July, I turned 19. I feel kind of old now as silly as that sounds. But, I live with my dad and step-mom. They don't make me pay any bills and they don't expect me too, either. I just pay for my insurance and my gasoline for my car. My dad says I can live here as long as I want too but I don't plan on it. I'm going to school full-time and I have a part-time job as well. To me, I think as long as I stay motivated and busy it's OK to live home if you're a certain age. I could see if I weren't going to school and didn't have any job then it wouldn't be acceptable. I think there's a certain age but in today's society, being 18 and moving out when you're 18 isn't realistic because everything is SO expensive, etc. I live in California, by the way. What do y'all think? Is 19 too old or is it okay? How old are/were you when you moved out of your parents' house?

Ok I just turned 14, and I have a little sister who is 11, and this Sunday, I'm going to watch catching fire with my best friend at the movies. Me and my sister had an agreement that she wouldn't come with me. But as soon as my mum found out, she started asking me to take my sister. I don't want to hurt my sisters feelings and I know it's not really her fault, but the thing is, this has happened twice before. The last time, she completely ruined my movie, because she vomited right before it and I had to keep getting up to check on her and then I had to leave as soon as the movie ended because she felt I'll and I didn't get any time to spend with my friends, and my mum blamed me for the whole thing. I already said that I'll go again with her and I'll pay out of my own money but she won't listen. She just called me to her room and asked me to please think about it and not be selfish. When I look back at year 8, all I'll remember is that my sister came with me everywhere and when she gets to year 8, it's not like I'll be tagging along with her friends! I really need advice, what should I tell my mum? I really need some alone time with my friends!

before i start, i just wanted to confirm that i'm sixteen years old and i live in new york. my life has seriously got to be one of the worst lifes in the whole entire world. i go for weeks on edge without even leaving the house. theres never any food home because my dad hates spending money. i have a mom that cares about nobody but herself, she goes out every friday night and comes home so pissed that she falls down the stairs, and her friends are some of the meanest people in the world, there always over my house and all they do is shout at me, they're raging lesbians! i have a sister my age and all she does is sleep and i have a little 10 year old brother that has panick attacks over nothing and basically his mentally messed up. my dad is probably the horriblest man in the century, all he does is shout about anything. my mom is just so simple that i just ignore her, shes way too naive. i'm so unhappy and have been like this since i was about 13 or 14.. things aren't changing. i recently finished school and my mom is forcing me to go to college, i told her its my choice but she just won't listen. sometimes i feel soooo suicidal, theres been times where i think i just want my life to be over now. i always think "is life really worth living" i have not even got 1 friend anymore and life is absoulotely terrible, i can't even explain. the world always seem to be so gray. i'm going threw such a hard time and feel like i will never be happy. can you give me some advice please?! :(

My fiance's step/adoptive mother is throwing his baby brother a birthday party today .. And the thing is my fiance got a bit upset by me not wanting to go.. But it is only because his mother said a lot of things in text messages to me & my fiance back then that I haven't forgot, such as she really didn't care about being in our unborn child's life since she isn't his real mom anyway, and random spiteful messages for example: Hell is a hot place. She also had blocked our numbers but so far has only managed to unblock his number but never yet has tried reaching out to me like she use to. (And no I have never disrespected her, if anything he has did that.) Also another thing is her place is infested with roaches! I mean roaches are literally every where. That is one of the reasons why I made sure we saved enough to finally move out of her place because not only did I get tired of seeing them, having to constantly watch what I eat, and wash every dish even if they appeared clean, I was and currently still am pregnant ( I am now 9 months), and that was just no sanitary place to bring a new born to live in. So that is also one of the reasons I feel she kind of resents me ..because after all the bs she went on about her son, and making false rumours/drama, and not caring if we moved out.. I guess it finally hit her once we did. So am I wrong for feeling this way and not going?

Let me start by saying my mom's not necessarily racist, but we're Assyrian and she came to America from Iraq so from her traditional culture she prefers I'd marry a girl of my own race. And no we're not Muslim, we're Catholic. But I'm dating a black girl who I really happen to like and it's getting stressful, not because of her but because now that my mom's aware of it, she just has a bitter attitude all the time and makes fun of me for even talking to her and says to watch out and that I better not bring her home. This is leading to a lot of fights of course and me being stubborn in nature, I would never budge no matter how much she hates it. Despite my dad also being middle eastern thankfully he has no problem with it, as long as she treats me right and what not. But it's my mom and her side of the family that's old fashioned. I even have a distant cousin who married a black girl but our whole side of the family cut ties with him ever since. I personally don't care if this happens to me as long as I'm happy. What I'm more concerned about is my girl. I haven't told her this yet... I just don't want it to take a toll on her or for her to think it's taking a toll on me that I can't handle, even though I can. It's embarrassing. I don't know what to do. Okay, so i have two twin brothers (19) they are currently unemployed and go to a community college until they get transfered in a year or two. I'm a 12 year old girl, and i have to live with them. Oh dear god i dislike them so much... There's so many reasons why, but i'm just gonna explain the least ridiculous. My brothers wont let me wear shorts, tank tops, a ONE PIECE bathing suit, (obviously no bikini is allowed.) The other day, I was coming home from school and my brother started yelling at me calling me a hoe for wearing leggings. Another day, I was in my room watching netflix and chilling with some shorts on (i was alone in my OWN room) and one of them comes bursting in without knocking and was like "PUT ON SOME PANTS YOU SLUT" UGH i hate them so much!! Not only that, but they don't let me wear a little mascara, and i sometimes get scolded for earrings. They read my text messages, and control if i can have any social media. They think they can overpower my mom. My mom is aware of this, but there's really not much she can do because they wont listen to her anyways.(Btw my dad is not in our lives) All i want to be is a normal girl. And at this point, i really cant.

My son's dad pays child support faithfully. However he barely sees him and NEVER asks how he's doing. Last time he picked him up was September 11. Today is Oct 7th. I want to go to America for a course and it costs $3000, due by May. I can go if I pay $1000. I've been working for $80, less than four hours a week which is great pay for a teen. I have time for school work. I would have saved enough by April. The only thing is that my mom has to drive me to work, which wasn't an issue until recently. I haven't gone to work in weeks because my mom had dance. Last week, I told her if I didn't go, I might get fired. She still went and I got fired. I don't get why she couldn't miss ONE practice so I can keep my job! We got into this fight and I started to ignore her. Her side of the argument: 1. Why should I use my time to drive you? 2. Your pay doesn't account for money wasted on gas. 3. You should have gotten a job close enough to walk to. 4. Why don't you find students to come to our house? (I'm a tutor) What I think: 1. I've been working my *** off to earn that money and I have to throw all that away because she is too selfish to support me. 2. Maybe if she let me get my driver's license, I can pay for gas myself! 3. If I got a real job, I would be working double for the same amount of pay. I would have no time for school work. 4. Tried and not successful. I think she's expecting an apology, but for what? Getting mad and ignoring her? She has never apologized to me ever! I stopped eating with her and she's not making an effort to talk to me. What do I do? I just wanted to add that I feel like she has never been a good mother. She never has time for me and my sister and always desire more money. Ever since the age of ten, she has pushed the responsibility of caring for my sister on me. I have care for my sister at home ALONE since age TEN! Why did she decide to have kids if she cant even provide the attention we deserve?

I live with my grandparents and they keep pushing me to ALWAYS be on the honor roll at school, ALWAYS have my room clean even if I'm still doing something that caused the mess, and ALWAYS act like an adult. But the truth is they NEVER listen to what I want with my life. My grandmother is pushing me to get great grades and be a teacher, but my grandfather is pushing me to be a truck driver like him! I'm a 15 year old girl. I live in a two bedroom trailer with my two older brothers and my grandma. My mom stays at her boyfriends and I never see her. She makes a decent amount of money, but she's payed under the table and gets maybe 60-90 dollars a day. She has no vehicle, so she pretty much spends all of her money on gas, cigarettes, and food for us. She also wastes a lot of gas tracking down my unruly 14 year old sister. My grandma has a job, but she acts like shes doesn't make much when she makes about 18 an hour but spends all of her money buying thirty packs literally EVERY DAY because she's an alcoholic, but she doesn't think so and it's crazy. I stay at my boyfriend's house most of the time because I'm really not comfortable there.. I have three pairs of pants that actually fit me. No leggings or tights and I do have quite a bit of t shirts, but not anything I actually enjoy wearing because a lot of them are too big. I don't know what to do and I'm on the verge of having a mental breakdown because I feel like no one cares if I have clothes or not. It's made my self-esteem quite low and I don't know how much more I can handle..

He was considering it at first until he heard from his friends it's not a good idea. He says it's not safe, the statistics are very high from dying in a crash...etc. My argument is... I don't have a reckless personality. I'm safe when I have to be. For sure on the road I'd be cautious. Why should I let fear hold me back from living life the way I want to? Once I'm 18 I'd be doing it anyways. (Im 15 now) and his comback was that when I'm 18 he wouldn't be responsible. Wow? I could die just by J-walking if some crazed drunk driver smashed into me, should I not walk on the streets at all? (examples like that...I could die in a car crash as well, does that mean I can't drive?) I'm also very aware I could be getting into a crash, and if that happens it happens. Hey, at least I had an experience. Then he says but the statistics are lower. The problem with him is that he's way too literal. He lives life on facts, not desire or freedom. My son got all F's this semester became he spent all his time worshipping this girl. Like, literally, worshipping. He has 50 pictures of her (they're friends) in his room, and he's always hanging out with her instead of studying. He's asked her out multiple times, and she's always said no. I think he's in denial and is still trying to win her over. He's blowing all the money he gets from his part-time job on gifts for her. I know the girl and her family, and she is a nice girl, so I don't think she's purposefully baiting him. He also spends time helping her with homework. I heard she got an A on a history paper, which was the same one my son helped her on instead of working on his own paper. I've even caught him kissing pictures of her. He's spending so much time trying to get her to like him that he's falling behind on work. How should I get him to take his mind off her?

I have been playing piano for over 10 years now and am currently studying at Music academy. The problem is I wanted to quit many many times but my parents never let me, I first wanted to quit probably 7 years ago. My parents are really manipulative and they will only give me ''love'' and support if I play the piano. In my past I ran away from home several times and we had some pretty bad arguments. My brother and sister ran away from home (my sister got married). I don't wanna be a failure but I really want to do something I love. My parents became more and more calm about me not wanting to have anything with piano and music but my dad told me today: Can you please just finish the academy and have a job, you have to do something. One more problem is I have a piano competition in about a month and I don't know how to practice or anything because I don't have the ambition to do it. I'm constantly depressed and introverted and anxious and love getting drunk so I can forget about my life and my parents not loving me for who I am. I'm sorry for such a big message. Thank you all.

My mother in law is staying with us while her house is undergoing reconstruction. She's been here a week, and she'll be here for two more. My husband travels for work, and works night shifts when he's home, so he tries to sleep as much as he can. My mother in law wakes up at 6 every morning and goes downstairs and proceeds to make as much noise as humanly possible. She'll fling her things down, clash pots and pans and yammer on the phone while we're trying to sleep. It often wakes our newborn, which is a disaster. We've brought it up to her and she says she'll stop, but the next day she'll be back and louder than ever. She's not senile, she's only 54. What should we do? My husband doesn't want to tell her to leave because she doesn't have anywhere else to stay. Help please!

She has led a bad example. My Mom's mother is a very good person. She simply upset my Mom as a kid by not protecting her more (my mother was hurt by an older sibling).

She informs everyone how bad her daughter is. Her daughter was totally unmotivated through her teen years and had a habit of lying (not sure how often). She also got pregnant at 20 though the baby was stillborn. Since the death of her baby the daughter has since gotten things together. However she has not sought out her parents to make amends and still seems to have relationship problems. Otherwise she is fine now at age 25. As a teen she was hard though. So is the mother the one with the problem or is it fair to turn on a child once they are adults especially if they haven't made amends for teen behavior?

I'm 24 and my boyfriend is 25. We have been together for 8 yrs. Yes, i know, a very long time. We are high school sweethearts. It kinda seems like we are living a Romeo and Juliet movie because my parents didn't really like my boyfriend's family. Our parents new each other when they were growing up. They lived in the same town.His family loves me but my father refuses to have any part of his family. Everyone in my family and his family approve of us being together. Me and my father haven't spoken about my current boyfriend since the time my boyfriend first asked my father for permission to "date" me when we were 16. So pretty much I don't speak of my boyfriend around my father or invite him to my father's family events. I feel heartbroken because I Look up to my father and he means the word to me but I feel like my bf and I can't get married with out my fathers approval.. I don't know what to do. How can be with both of the people I love? My sister already told me that he would never approve of us being together.? I lost. Need some advice.

English is not my first language , so excuse my bad english. I have a relationship problem with my dad. So first of all, you should know that i really like to play video games. But, my father won't allow me to play video games anymore. Even though i have already studied hard the whole week. School starts 6 am and end on 3 30 pm. After school i have a math / language course depends on the day. Monday, Wednesday , and Friday i learn math and on Tuesday and Thursday i learn english plus on Saturday i learn German , that is how busy i am. I usually go home after 6 pm from all those my learning activities. When i got home i usually learn and or do my homeworks. I worked hard this much but today after german class my father wont let me even touch my pc and told me to sleep early , even though he sleeps really late but he keeps telling me to sleep early. He hates me for playing games which is my hobby even though i already did all of my work , and now i want to play but he doesnt allow me to play.. i even sleep in the same room with him, you know my family is not that rich and cant afford to give me my own room with my brother which makes the condition worse , i think he is a complete failure his salary is a lot smaller than my mother. But he acts like he is the tough important guy , which is a complete bullshit. I want my father dead.

Question: I have to see my evil and sick mother this weekend. How do I enjoy myself around her?

I didn't want to go to this funeral because I just went to some funerals just a few weeks ago. Its long and sad. I told my aunt i dont want to go to the funeral. But My aunt was saying she will be lonely at the funeral while my mom and uncle talk to each other. So, I woke up today and got ready to go with her but then I started to feel terrible. I'll be quit honest. I have thyroid enlargement which might need a biopsy. So I feel kind of ill. My mom says I shouldn't go if I don't feel well and that I was only pleasing my aunt but it's all about me. I felt it's selfish what she was saying but perhaps I should rest instead .

I'm 54. I only had children so I would have someone to take care of me. My son and daughter are 17 and 18 I don't consider them my children. I refer to them normally as family members. My son and daughter never finished school, I took them out of school in 8th grade, I was going to homeschool them but never did. I told them if they wanted they would have to pay for their education as homeschooling was too expensive. That was a little over 4 years ago. I want my son and daughter to leave but they refuse to. These are the reasons they say they refuse to leave for because I have never taught them how to drive, because there are no side areas to walk on the road, because they don't want to walk 17 miles to the city for public transportation as we live in the south and because I have never taken them to get a job before they were 17 and 18. Why are they so rude to me?
