One of my classmates said that my cheeks are "chubby like a chipmunk" and they constantly ask to punch my face lightly. I say yes because why not? They commented that I'm even cuter when I'm shy because my face gets super red like a tomato. When I look at other people, who may NOT conform to beauty standards, I can always notice at least one "attractive" feature. Still, when I scrutinize myself, there's no feature that I consider desirable. Some people say I have chubby cheeks, dark eyebrows, and fair skin, but ehh, I don't understand them. |

Everyone always tells me that I am so sweet and nice but hardly anyone wants to around me and I try so hard to respect peoples space and I don't push on anyone to hang out with me and yet people think I am easy to take advantage of me and make fun of me. I am 5'4 and I have a best friend who is 6'4 and everyone respects him and girls like him and people always want to be around him yet with me I am seen as the weird one. I have trust issues because of people taking advantage of me and trying to bully me. Please don't tell me to change or tell me it is the peoples fault because obviously being me is not working and I am tired of being looked at as the freak. |

I can't think of a reason why they would make it obvious that they don't - it's normal for people to have dislikes but it's kind of obvious that they don't. Anyways my friend is 18 and she's a college freshman so her parents are probably just overprotective like mine are sometimes. I've always been a good kid and I was respectful to them when I first met them. I don't smoke, drink, have sex, or sneak out at night like some kids my age do. I go to one of the top private middle schools at my city in Canada. Me and my friend don't think it's because I was diagnosed with Asperger's because she has at least one or two friends with the exact same condition as me at her college. They don't seem to be very happy whenever my friend invites me somewhere and they want her to make new friends and not spend time with me anymore. I never did anything wrong but they have some kind of attitude towards specifically me as if I'm one of those kids who are a bad influence? My parents would never let me do those certain things anyways. What is it that they could not like about me? |

I have never failed to mark the occasion of her birthday and most years have had lovely parties for her and her friends which cost a significant amount of money. I am a loss to explain why she just totally blew off my big day like this. We have been talking about it for a while because we plan to take a trip later this year to celebrate. I didn`t make a big deal of this at the time but tonight when I was tired she was bugging me to drive her around to get food she wanted, but I didn`t feel like making the effort. I told her that she shouldn`t expect much at her birthday this year, but I feel a bit wrong and petty having said that. With that said, her behaviour was very selfish and insensitive in ignoring my birthday and I feel she needs some sort of consequences so she understands about disappointing people who always make efforts for you. How would other parents handle this situation? Thanks. |

I then visited Europe(cousins's wedding, he lives there too) We saw eachother at the wedding and he fixed my tooth(dentist). Then he'd message me everyday and talked about once his citizenship in Europe is legalized and he gets his passport from Armenia next month, he'd like to come to the States after and possibly asking how i'd feel getting married this and that. But when I was back that night he hadn't messaged to see if I was back and seemed like he wasn't all that interested. So I questioned him a couple of times and he said he's not a cold person and that he does like me. Then one day we talked on video and then he said ok sweetie i'm going to the clinic and that we'd talk later(he spent 20 min talking about him and his family's debts and what he did when he came to Europe first). I didn't believe in texcting him first so I waited the next day nothing, so I messaged him and he responded 20 min later like everything was fine. I kind of again said seemed like we didn't understand eachother he was like why i said i didn't know. The next day no message again and I messaged him questioning and he said that he is a warm person and does like me just all over the place with things. I then said I never felt like he was truly interested and blah nlach like other guys. He didn't say anything to that. Then on fb i accidentally sent a video of a couple dancing. I then asked like it was in the past. I said what swas the purpose of him talking about marriage and this and that and he said "Hun I asked and I will ask again. I do like you. She's like a sister to me. However lately has been a different story, her mom came into a big inheritance and bought her a condo. This was about a year ago but she has changed a little I've noticed this going on for months now all she cares about is superficial things, like her personal things online dating and but the worst off, is she's grown closer to one of her friends and pretty much has replaced me with her. I notice she doesn't call me and talk to me about things she's a lot more closer with her other friend. And when I do text her she'll take hours and sometimes to the next day to respond. Okay, and why is it when we're together I see you on your phone all the time. The last straw was she texted this boy a barely know who friended me who went to my school. She was trying to get with him (5years older than her( and he got mad and called her mean names. She saod it was her not me. I was like why even put me in it I didn't say anything. Why is she going to kids that I'm trying to avoid and making drama? I'm sick of Hera md the rest of the kids! I don't wanna be in this crap with this kid that is like 10 and is trying to be a w####, if she wants to fine but don't even put my name in it because I'm not like that and the kids she is texting barly talk to me and theyre just an acquaintance to me. Wen we went into to secondary school ( high school) we were 12 and we were both unpopular. In the past year she has changed her appearance and became skinny and pretty. We are in an all girl's school so I don't know any lads I'm shy and very self conscious. She's become friends with a group of girls and guys and pretty much tries to be popular. She always slags me and puts me down and nowadays I don't know if she's joking or being serious. She tells me I need to change my appearance or to stop being so antisocial. She called my friend obese behind her back she called some of our other friends ugly and it makes me wonder what she says about me. She makes me feel anxious. She uses me when her other "friends" are busy. But at the same time she's my best friend and we have fun together and we are there for here eachother .Lately I've been struggling with binge eating and starving because I feel I'm not good enough when I'm in school sometimes I just feel like crying. Is it me or her? Am I just being dramatic or should I just stop being friends with her when we go into different classes next year? |

Posted: 27 Jan 2017 11:43 PM PST i don't understand why people( specially men) have to hate on me when they first see me. even when i first meet me they see me like i am the most ugliest thing on earth. lots of people make fun of the way i look saying that i look 40 and some old lady when i went trick or treating mistakened me as a boy. i dont act like i hate anyone im nice to people and im chill about it but i dont act like im too cool. i have a friend who tries to introduce me to her friends and they automatically hate me. even her boyfriends who try to get into her pants call me an ugly piece of ****. why does this happen to me? |
| Question: Lonley in College...still? Posted: 27 Jan 2017 11:26 PM PST It s the second semester of my freshman year and I m still so lonley. I think my loneliness has worsened because it s become more and more apparent that I have very few friends. I have a boyfriend who s great but somehow I m still so alone. I have friends but no real ones that I feel comfortable around. Most of the people I interact with are actually my roommates or boyfriends friends that they invite me to hang out with. They re nice but I feel like a guest in their presence. I don t belong. I don t understand what s wrong with me. Everyone around me seems to have a group of people by now. I m not that shy or anything and in high school I had plenty of friends. Now I sit here in my dorm weekends while it seems like everyone else is at the parties I used to be a part of in high school. I need some comforting words other than telling me to get involved. My school is small and I m familiar with most of the people here. I still feel alone. |

They're all popular with boyfriends and I'm just a loser. We all used to hang out all the time but not anymore (unless I make the plans, which being anti social in pretty hard). They will make plans to hang out right in front of my, like they don't even realize I'm there. Then the next day they'll tell me about how much fun they had without me. It's really ruining my self esteem. If I was prettier would they like me more ? If I was less shy? I just don't want to spend Saturday nights alone anymore, I can't. |

She asks if I'm seeing any guys and I tell her that I am and I tell her that I'm hooking up with these guys I'm seeing and she told me that I shouldn't be dating several guys and hooking up with them right away but I really want to continue hooking up and dating different guys and seeing them because I want to live my life the way I want to and not the way she wants me to. When me and her hang out, she doesn't want me bringing any guys that I'm dating. She told me to focus on school and not focus on guys but the thing is, I want to date guys and focus on school. She even told my mom that I'm done with guys when that's not true at all. I want to continue dating guys and focus on school at the same time. Why is she controlling my love life? My 19 year old friend can't help but be jealous of our relationship probably because she's single and still a virgin. She kind of freaked out when I told her about my first kiss and told me to explain to her exactly what happened, no lying. She acts like he's evil or a bad influence or something. I know she sometimes acts like a know it all and that she knows everything just because she's five years older than me! She asked a lot of questions about him then she asked if my parents know about this or have they met him before and that if my parents haven't met him, she can drop by my high school after school (her college is only blocks away) and meet him to see what he's like. I think she might try to ruin our relationship by trying to meet him or try to get my parents to disapprove of him by having THEM meet him. |
| Question: Community College Teammates and Friends? Posted: 27 Jan 2017 09:37 PM PST I go to community college and my only friends there are my teammates, the problem is though, they stopped hanging out with me. I am called a flake a lot by them because I deny many of their hang out invites during school time. This is because I put my study habits first and foremost, but they stopped inviting me altogether. I try my best to handle both, but I guess recently I've been pushed farther from them. In all honesty they are good people, but it's really disheartening knowing that they intentionally went out without a thought of me. I know I'm making them out as bad friends, but they each individually have done a lot for me in the past. At this moment though, its hard to hang out with them or communicate more even if I want to. I feel cornered about it and pretty bummed too. Guess I'm just wondering if anyone's been in a similar situation? Also if my actions have just caused me to inevitably be farther from them? or was my presence not even that wanted in the first place? |

Although he's 15, he is extremely short, yet slightly chubby and has a baby-face. Also, he's a hard-working, well-mannered student who is loved by his teachers. Today, in my class, the teacher mentioned that he was not present, and another student remarked that he "got jumped by some dude over Yeezy." She was undoubtedly shocked and requested a thorough explanation. Basically, as soon as he got off the bus, and started walking home, an adult male showed up, beat him up, and stole his Kanye West shoes. Now, he's in the hospital and will be absent from school for days. My teacher said, "Poor Bob, bless his soul. I mean, he's so little and short. Someone could easily pick him up and took his shoes effortlessly. Was there a purpose behind the violence?" It's like a bull stomping on an ant. Why? Just breathe and it'll die instantly. Poor Bob. What a pity. He never caused trouble in class and was devoted in his academics. He was so generous and kind-hearted. Still, he's pathetic and an idiot for wearing a pair of $200-$1,000 shoes on the streets when he's THAT defenseless and minuscule. Why? Another peer blatantly said, "It was probably a black dude. Like think about it. What kind of moron would fight that little white boy over a pair of kicks? Heck, his feet too small! Nobody can't wear them shoes!" Hmm, kind of a crass assumption, but the boy who said that WAS black, too. It's just too funny to imagine. Like a giant fighting a baby over a lollipop. For God's sake, the boy is only 5 feet 1. And 15 years old. Most boys are about 5'8. He's no match for an adult male! He looks like an eight or seven years old. He should be in kindergarten, not high school. Definitely not! My teacher DID confirm THAT THIS IS TRUE. His parents sent her an email, and she also heard it from other students this morning yet wouldn't believe. His friends in class also stated that he texted them. No, no no. This did happen. He's one of THE shortest boys at my school. He's a good little boy. I intentionally made it sound, mmm, sophisticated to humorously contrast from the stupidity of the post. Hehe. To make it funnier basically. Using elegant language for such a silly thing as getting jumped over Kayne West's ugly shoes. |

Ive lost 4 family members recently, along with my bestfriend who committed suicide weeks ago and my other friend who got killed in a car crash this weekend. My dear friend texted me checking on me as she knows the conditions I'm in. I told her how I don't want to be here anymore, how nothing feels worth it anymore.. She said "do I have to come kick your butt" Why did she say that? am I a bad person for feeling like this? |

I was extremely welcoming of her and hung out with her a lot to get her to fit in and make the transition easier. When I asked my other church friends to hang out with her, they all refused. Now fast forward a year, she's leaving. They (the friends who used to not talk to her) had a "good bye party" for her... without me.... I was really hurt when I saw this all over snapchat and I actually cried.. The next day at church, they all ignored me and talked about the movie they saw the ENTIRE time... I haven't done anything wrong I think, I really sociable and am friendly to everyone but I just feel so hurt that they had a party for her without me. When I was the one that introduced her to everyone and stuff.. |
