Posted: 10 Sep 2018 12:01 PM PDT Im a 16 year old guy, and im currently having a pretty hard time fitting in at school. Most of my peers are 17 years old, and they all seem to be chasing after girls like theres no tommorow. Its really all they talk about when there arent girls around, how many snapchat streaks do you have, how many chicks have you banged and so on. My issue with this is that, even when they do manage to get with girls, they seem to have no interest in actually being with them. Although i am attracted to girls, i dont want to chase after them just for meaningless sex or something pointless like that. I do however desperately want an actual relationship, one that involves being able to actually have someone you can confide in, trust and most importantly love. Im not sure if im going through this because im just in the teen years or whatever, but i feel like my focus is completely different from all the guys around me. They all want physical relations, and then they are ready to leave the next day. I have no interest in that though, and i feel like its alienating me from my peers. I have a hard time even pretending like i care when they talk about it. At the same time, im worried that i will come off as insanely clingy in todays society, and therefore never be able to actually develop the meaningful, deep relationship im searching for. On a side note, i have always been chubby, and i have fairly low self esteem.i dont know if it has anything to do with it but ill add it anyways. |

We have now been "talking" for a little over two months we have sex and go on dates, buy each other things (other than food) and have concert tickets for a few months down the line. Not to mention the things were been doing have been for "relationshipy?" and he is also very affectionate in public and in private. I know I overthink things too much and I've tried my hardest not to especially because we have not had any talk about us. I'm a little hurt at the moment, I'll explain- I met two girls (on Bumble) and each time, the first two dates went great. Absolute connection, great talk and not awkward at all. However, also with each, on the third date, things seemed different. The girls seemed to turn, and then after the third date I'd get a text along the lines of "You seem so genuine and you're great, but I just don't have the right feelings." (more or less) Each time on the third date I visited them at their place and we just hung out- no sex, some intimacy, but I'm not one to push things. Maybe they wanted me to be more aggressive? I don't know, since I'm out of the game a bit. It just confuses me as both these situation were so similar and I really saw potential, especially with things going well after the first two dates with both girls (fast text responses, an apparent genuine interest, etc) I have a decent job, I am in very good shape, not a model but not bad looking... I might not be as aggressive as other guys physically but I have a sense of respect that I try to uphold. I'm just very confused.Am I missing something? |

We text all the time and FaceTime and see each other consistently on the weekends but I don't lie when saying we would prefer to spend every bit of time we possibly can together. Over the summer we spent practically every day with each other and that was what we were used to so this distance has been hard. I have enjoyed the sex with him, and I thought that that was all there was, but he has caught serious feelings for me. He's kinda naive, he was sheltered as a kid. When we started doing this I figured it would be mutually beneficial, I would get something, and at the same time I would help teach him about life, romance, sex, and all those things. And I have to say I have grown really fond of him. I am proud of what he has become as a person. He has a heart of gold, and I really admire that, and that's actually what attracted me to him in the first place, cuz he was a decent guy. He had an innocence about him that I found very refreshing. Thing is I didn't think he would develop the feelings for me like he has. I thought it was clear that this was just a casual thing, and it wasn't just sex, but we would hang out as friends, sometimes we wouldn't even have sex, just enjoy each other's company. But he's taken it seriously. In fact, he told me last night he loves me, and I could tell he meant it. I do care for him, deeply, and I would never do anything to hurt him, but I'm afraid I already have. What can I do? I don't want to lose his friendship, yes he's that important to me, but I know the longer we keep going, the more he's gonna fall for me. So how can I end this, yet still save our friendship? |

I didnt find out until the most recent summmer. We had a fight and she told me in the middle of it. She let me know she would be blocking me and i told her that was fine but Ive been worried about her every day since. Ik I cant reach her and bc Ik her I know she at least partly blames herself. She moved in with her new bf this semester(we're in college)and Im willin to let her be free to do as she will, but I cant stop worrying about her state of mind and dont know what to do.
