Question: I am 21 female, I feel somewhat a little resentment towards my mom or something..? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 12:58 PM PDT Sometimes when i tell her something, its like she isnt even listening, or sometimes she will interrupt and say something to my sister if shes near. My older sister does this to me too... i find this very rude & annoying. |
Question: Could my partners father be trying to steal his identity? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 12:44 PM PDT We are both 30, his mother died, his grandmother has dementia, and his father is all he has left. Unfortunatly, his father has previously called cops on him twice, got him arrested, and then stole his inheritance about two years ago. On Friday, his father asked him for photos of his ID, Birth Cert. And SS#. He already knows our address. He claimed to be getting life insurance, and wanted to use my partner as the benefactor. I know nothing about insurance, but my partner happily sent his father everything. The problem I see is, his father is unemployed, and has a bad past. I need some advice. My mother has said she wouldn t trust his father. SO, does the life insurance policy need all of these forms for the benefactor (apologise if that s not the right word)? Or is something else going on? |
Question: My mother and I saw an estranged relative this past week. Were we brave? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 12:39 PM PDT It was a narcissist we have been estranged from for 5 years and distant from since 2002. Were we brave souls to see her and her husband and his son (her step-son)? |

Question: Is it normal for siblings to tease each other? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 10:06 AM PDT I have a teenage son John and a teenage daughter Lisa. They are good kids and get along good well with each other. They just like to have fun especially with each other. One night at the dinner table Lisa ask me if she could get some balloons like John had. John said "What are you talking about? I don't have any balloons." Lisa said "I saw them in your desk drawer". "They are Trojan brand balloons". OH MY GOD, am I going to have to have the "talk" with Lisa again. But what she said next told me the "talk" was not necessary. She said "John, do you have to special order the balloons to get the size extra extra small". John thought what she ask him was REALLY funny and said, you misread the label. The are extra extra large. Should me daughter be teasing her brother like that even when he thinks it is funny? |
Question: How to act formally to your parent? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 09:16 AM PDT I know weird question but please I just don't want to be informal with my mom. Please hell I meant to say "help" at the end. |

Question: I am married and I kissed this guy? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 07:24 AM PDT He is my boss and he has been treating me really well. He always tells me how cute I am and he thinks it is hot to date someone's wife. He bought me a nice necklance after he returned from his business and I kissed him as a courtesy but we ended up doing french kiss, he grabed my breast and I could feel his erection so i stopped the kiss few minutes later. He then asked me to hang out at his place tonight while my husband is at his parents' place this weekend. I really wanna go to my boss's place but unsure if things will go out of control. I am confused and nervous now. Help? |
Posted: 02 Sep 2018 06:59 AM PDT Curious who the victim is. Her siblings usually, not always, avoid her when she is in town because of her wrath. |
Posted: 02 Sep 2018 06:55 AM PDT We are not as close as we once were and the calendar triggers my sadness. Five years ago Friday was the funeral so Labor Day Weekend of 2013 was bittersweet. Five years seems like a pivotal anniversary, ten years will be even harder. Yet this weekend no one is together. Christmas and the July reunion are the only times we all get together. It hurts to think to how wonderful things were five years ago and now I will never ever have that again. How do I cope and feel better? Going to her grave is not the same cause everyone else is not there. I accept her death, I still struggle with the loss of closeness to everyone else. Emails and Facebook messages aren't the same as bi-weekly get togethers. I have a small apartment and Asperger's so not in a position to host a big family gathering. |

Question: Why is he saying he’s hurt after all this? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 02:58 AM PDT We've been broken up for months. I texted him that I missed him and he went on a rant and wrote essays about how I hurt him etc it's been months but he was going on and on. i said things happened and were said that should t have. Then he went on to say how do you suppose things would workout now? How do you undo what was done etc I said better than the first time since experienced makes one better. He went on to say that he's spent the time bettering himself etc and that he didn't want to put himself in a situation that would hurt him again. I said I didn't want a relationship that would cause pain either and that I never meant to hurt him. He didn't respond I asked what are you doing. He replied a couple hours later that he was asleep. The following day we had a conversation I said it was hit and he said I should have my landlord install an ac unit. Couple days passed and I got a bit annoyed that he didn't text and thought maybe he was waiting for me and I was leaving the country. I said you despite all that I gave you the benefit of the doubt. It realized to no end. I say I miss you but you're still stuk in the past bitnerrness and resentment. He replied ok. I'm not going to argue with you. Enjoy your trip I didn't reply. Knowing his personality and the things he's said before and that he expected me to apologize I'm assuming he wants me to try harder so I don't hurt him. He didn't say I don't have feelings for you etc |
Posted: 01 Sep 2018 08:51 PM PDT The age gap is very small but these years are significant enough to make a big difference in maturity, knowledge and decision making. My daughter will be starting 11th grade on Tuesday. Her friends just started college this fall. They did not attend high school together. From observation - her friends treat her as an equal even though it can be obvious that she is just a little behind them. I think that these girls still act more like a tween or young teen sometimes when it comes to social issues. Maybe it's just me being a paranoid parent, but I want what's best for my child and to protect her when needed. |
Question: Why so much pressure on women to be beautiful? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 08:47 PM PDT Mom is 50 and she tries to be in shape and she is on diet to make her skin clear. I was pressured to lose weight and I get insulted if i get acne or anything. All my friends like this they all tried to stay in shape. |
Question: How to convince my mom to divorce my step dad? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 08:28 PM PDT I never understood why my step dad married my mom since at the time I lived in peru. And she ******* married the gringo and we moved to the states. Maybe cause she wanted a better life but I swear to god I'm leaving my step brother and my stepdad behind. My step brother caused so many problems. My step brother who Smokes marijuana made me take his dui. My step dad forced me to do it ******* stupid ***. My step brother got my stepdad in jail. My step dad doesn't really give a **** about me and I can tell. That's why I don't talk to him. Only 3 minutes a day max. Small chat. And my stepdad and my mom made a baby and I don't want this 9 year old annonying girl to come with my mom and I if they get divorced. How do I convince my mom to divorce my dad |
Question: My father had an affair.? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 07:34 PM PDT So. It's a rather semi long story. My father has cheated on my father currently and my mother wants to leave him. But my father doesn't and he keeps saying he messed up and crap. So he is just living with us. He is acting like the victim. There's another problem as well. If we leave him we are broke as hell. My father has money, and he will literally not give us nothing. Like non to us. He is one of the worst person alive and he belongs in hell. What do we do if he leaves with all the money? |
Posted: 01 Sep 2018 06:58 PM PDT I am 14. Me and the rest of my family get much verbal abuse from my father. I've talked to my mother about this but she says there is nothing she can do about it. I told her if she won't do anything, I will. I don't think she took me seriously on that. So, I want to run away. I have a friend who's mom knows about my situation with my father and would understand. I know i could stay with them. What i want to know is will she get in legal trouble for me staying with them ? |
Question: Will CPS investigate for longer since my daughter is homeschooled? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 04:52 PM PDT Someone anonymously reported us thinking that our daughter stays at home doing nothing (they claim to see her during school hours). That's because our child is homeschooled, we can decide when she wakes up or takes breaks outside, etc. She is getting educated for sure. I've heard several cases where people claimed to be "homeschooling" kids and they severely abused them. In fact, those are some of the worst case scenarios where the children never went outside to be seen by others...because the parents wanted to hide the abuse. I wonder if CPS is more likely to suspect abuse and neglect because our daughter isn't at school with other kids. During the previous years, we had no issues with homeschooling. Once we moved into this neighbourhood, someone called CPS. |
Question: My dad doesn't like me because Im gay. What should I do? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 04:46 PM PDT So i came out to my family as gay. My aunt told me it was wrong and that I am going to hell. She said she was leaving Nd my dad said no this is your moms house. Aunt said you were right about him. Every since i came out he has treated ne differently and said rude things. I feel hurt. Im thinking about moving back to seattle. They are here in Mississippi. Im just visiting them for the summer and working. What should I |
Question: Why dont white people care about their families? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 04:44 PM PDT I know so many white families where siblings go for months without talking to each other, children go for months with talking to their parents, as soon as parents get old they get put in nursing homes etc. They dont seem to care as much about family as minorities. |
Question: How do I get my mom to understand me and quit making me feel quilty? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 04:35 PM PDT I love my mom and all but sometimes the things she say and do really hurt me and I don t think she knows that it does but whenever I tell her she always makes me feel guilty. An example is today. Its Saturday and it was the first week of school and I am a Junior in High school with 4 college prep classes, a morning class (which means I have an extra class at 7:30 in the morning) and I play an instrument in 3 other orchestras. I was only getting 4-5 hours of sleep each night due to homework and my am class. She promised me I can gain my sleep back on the weekend but when it came to it she didn t. She immediately nags me to do chores and homework(which I did have a lot of). I really just wanted to take a break for once and I do have a 3 day weekend so I have time to do my work. I slept alittle on the couch and she woke me up to do my work and that I can t take a nap. And when I told her that I have been working really hard this week and wanted to take a nap she just sighed and said "ok, whatever" Making me feel guilty. She would sometimes even say that I don t need a nap or stop playing on my phone because she had done more work than me and she wasn t tired and that I was just being lazy. She needs to understand that we are completely different people and things that worked for her don t work for me, school techniques, social stuff, romance. I feel like I m never right when I try pleading my case and she always switches it around to where I feel guilty. Please help. |
Question: How do we convince people they are not fit to become parents and need to be sterilized? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 04:13 PM PDT |
Posted: 01 Sep 2018 03:07 PM PDT I notice that many sisters tend to share more intimate, personal details with each other. Especially if they are close in age. My daughter has lots of fun with the boys. They played fighting as little kids, chased her with bugs, blew bubbles, fought over TV remote, etc. But they are not vocal with each other. There's a lack of showing emotion and she can't talk to them about certain things. My sons would be uninterested or she'd find it hard to talk. With no other female in the family, does this mean that she has a greater need for parents with open communication AND closer friends (who are girls)? |
Question: My ex fwb (mother of my child), had my baby around ....? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 02:13 PM PDT Another guy when I showed up . I know she has a sex addiction most likely, she's a nasty b*tch. Our baby girl is 12 days old and I don't want her around any guy friend or any man . Do I have the right to be upset ? She's my ex fwb , we are complete opposites . I'm not with her anymore , but it's annoying just thinking about my newborn around a mother that could be having Sex . I don't want it around my baby . |
