Question: What should I say to my friend if I don’t want to give her my parents phone number? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 05:25 PM PDT I (15M) have a friend (14F) who asked me to go to the mall in a few days. We haven't really talked that much in person, and I haven't seen her since last year, so of course I said yes. However, she said that her mom needs my parents phone number (probably to verify that I'm not a creep or something) but I don't really want to get my parents involved because it would make everything really awkward, and I haven't even mentioned this friend to them in the past. (Note: I go to the mall with different friends a lot, so I usually just say that I'm going with friends, I don't really find it necessary to tell them about every one) My question is, what do I say to her if I don't want to give her my parents number?

Question: Why do people never pay you back ? They say they will but don’t? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 01:58 PM PDT I am 24M and friend is 21M. He lives 45 minutes away and I always pick him up and give rides because he doesn't wanna drive. I took him out for the weekend spending about $60-$90 on him for alcohol, food, Uber's, arcade games, etc. In return He said he'll take me to an expensive buffet on his payday. Payday comes he says the check hasn't come yet. I ask two days later and he doesn't reply for whole day saying he was tired and slept whole day. I'm not even gonna ask anymore bc he's gonna make another excuse or not even reply. I had a feeling he wasn't gonna take me out, but he kept hyping it up and insisting he will. I feel used and stupid for believing him. Why do people always never pay you back, but say they will ?! How do I get revenge and what do I do?! TL;DR - Took friend out for weekend buying him food alcohol etc, and he hasn't repayed me back like he promised to 🤨
Question: Is my friend really a "best friend"? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 01:54 PM PDT My friend ill call him "Ben" he never wants to hang out he's been inside on his gaming laptop for weeks nearly months not only that wakes up at 5pm in the evning. He barely replies to my snapchat snaps even when i make an effort to reply to his. He says he's busy to reply when playing games but he clearly chooses games over friends. How do i confront him about this without making him angry? He does skype me 4 times a week to be fair but his life habbits atm are bad.
Posted: 06 Jul 2019 01:28 PM PDT Do you ever "miss" a friend. Talk to your sister\brother, and have them on social media, such as? I want to know what is it like to be able to have other people in life to associate with. And how it works. My disease of the lungs and deformities disabled be from being able to have anyone who wants to associate with me willingly. They're too disgusted. Who wouldn't be, they have every right to stay away from me. My mother is the only human I've been talking to since 7 years now.
Question: I never talked to my friend openly like that, why she reacted this way??? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 11:57 AM PDT This friend and I known each other for two years. She always talk about herself openly. I dont. Lately I am going through a very tough time. She was worried about me so she asked me what my parents will do and think. She caught me off guard. My parents are not helpful at all. So I said to her that I did not even tell them. Because they would just ask me to give up. They don't get it. They can't understand that I can't give up now. She stood up from her chair stood in front of me and seemed upset. She looked me in the eyes and she said she understands me. Why did she do that?
Question: My best friend thinks she's a hybrid? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 11:54 AM PDT I've known my best friend for 4 years now and she has never acted strange before. A few months ago, she told me that she had seen a man in her bedroom, and that her house was haunted. Then she told me about her imaginary friends. There's many of them. She also has a spider in her room, pretty sure it's not alive anymore though, that she's given a name. She swears that it's still in her room and that they're friends. An hour ago she texted me and said that she thinks she's a hybrid between a human and a wolf. The reason was because she feels this weird energy when around animals, she feels wild when in the woods and she feels like she's the one who owns all the animals. Like she's the alpha of every single one. First I thought it was a prank, but no, it's not. She's completely serious. I tried to convince her that it's just her imagination, but she said that I don't understand anything. I feel really bad for her and I don't want to make her upset, but she's acting crazy! Seriously, there's something wrong. I don't know what to do anymore, this has gone too far. She even changed her name to Amber Lee because of the kpop star Amber Liu. I'm tired, she's not even korean!

Posted: 06 Jul 2019 11:35 AM PDT She seemed interested, though I'm married. I wouldn't pursue an affair, but I was curious about who she was as a person. She knew I was married. We both knew the limitations on a relationship in which one person is married. But, I did want to know more about her after she expressed a kind and sweet attitude towards me. But, when I asked slightly more personal questions, she really backed off. The questions weren't THAT personal. I found it really odd. I think something is wrong with her. I've seen her interact with others in a similar pattern. I know many women have been victims. It's sad to think that's what this is about.
Question: Should I end my friendship with my old friends? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 10:33 AM PDT Hello! I've grown up with four incredible girls since the third grade. We went through elementary school together, middle school, high school, and now finishing up college. We have been very close, but I am starting to see things that have been bothering me. It started when I left to Paris two years ago. It was a gift that my mother got me. She bought me a ticket and let me experience a city that I have always wanted to visit since I was little. I went by myself, and is one of my favorite memories and something I will always be grateful for. After I came back, I hung out with my friends at a cafe where I ran into someone that I knew from school. They knew I had left to Paris and asked me how my trip was, and before I can even speak, my friends immediately cut in saying "It was the BRATTIEST thing she has ever done" and "She USED her mom's money for it!". I felt so hurt and betrayed, I didn't even know what to respond back because I couldn't believe it. What bothered me the most was there is a girl in our group that went to Paris 4 years before I did, and her parents paid for the whole thing. And yet they were so happy and excited for her. Its interesting because since that incident, I've started to see more things occur. I don't feel comfortable around them as I used to because I feel like I am being judged all the time. They apologized, but whenever I travel anywhere or do something that makes me happy and want to share, they don't seem to care as much. What should I do?
Question: Which type of person would you rather be friends with? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 09:10 AM PDT A person who always has time for you, wants to be your friend but has a violent temper and is prone to lashing out at others over the slightest things, they're also negative, angry and not very content with themselves or A person who is happy, cheerful, positive & upbeat but doesn't appear to have any time for you or doesn't want to be your friend.
Question: Do you think I should send this - we’ve been talking then he hit on my friend? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 08:54 AM PDT I really like and care about you a lot. I still wanna be friends, grab drinks, etc. just please don't hit on my friend because it hurts ya know
Question: Would either of these be considered somewhat of a compliment? will give best answer? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 07:59 AM PDT which comment, if any, is considered somewhat of a compliment? 1) She's alright looking I have definitely seen far worse 2) meh...she is not my type Would either of these be considered a compliment at all? Will give a best answer and I see that myfavoritelucy is racking up sweet points again. Are you still too afraid to visit William on FB so he can tell you to your face what he thinks of you?? coward! oh..and by the way, you were reported! go kill yourself now! miserable whore ****!
Question: What does this mean if a guy does this? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 06:53 AM PDT Ok so I'll try keeping this short. I was seeing a guy for 2 weeks and then I told him nicely that I don't see it working but we can stay friends. He told me that he will have to delete me on snap and on my phone so he don't get tempted to message me haha anyway today he added me back on snap just before he posted a pic of him and another girl kissing and he sent me a message asking how I was. It's pretty obvious that he probs added me back on snap so I would see and get jealous. Weird thing is I'm not jealous lol but the question I'm asking is why is he asking how I am? Should I reply back or leave it? And by him messaging me does that mean he still cares or am I thinking to much into it?
| Question: Am i wrong for cutting people off before college? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 06:44 AM PDT I'm a freshman I'm college and all my so called "friends" said we hanging out all summer and keeping in contact and other excused but haven't heard a dime from them at all. Ever since summer stared they went ghost, they only call/text when it's beneficial. People say I'm wrong for cutting them out and i shouldn't do it. Cause i feel like I'm not important in their life's and i don't matter. It's like what's the point. | Posted: 06 Jul 2019 05:41 AM PDT Someone who was your best friend for years, but whose "vampire" techniques of taking your ideas and projects and using them was so openly known, they even "joked" about it by creating a special character in a story who did this, and bragged about it to everyone in their (and your old) circle of friends. I'm leaning toward...do what they do and just don't say much in texts, and pretty much ignore any comments on posts. Hide particularly unhelpful comments. Coz it seems to me, if I have no value to them except as an ideanator, what's the point. |
Question: Are either of these comments considered a compliment in anyway? will give a best answer? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 04:02 AM PDT which comment would be considered a compliment? These are 2 remarks made about someones looks 1 ) meh...she is not my type 2) I have seen far worse Would any of these comments be considered a compliment in anyway? and if so, which one? will give a best answer
Question: Should I respond to a friend via email? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 01:05 AM PDT I have a friend that I message on email. We live kind of far from each other. We email about every two to three days. There was a time she went four days without contacting me and this last time she went a week without contacting me. She claimed that she made a mistake and she accidentally emailed her message to herself. I for one did not really believe that as she must have checked her email in the last week because she stays home, doesn't work, and doesn't have a busy life. She did not even wish me a Happy Fourth of July which she usually does. I decided to counter it by not responding to her email either because I felt offended by that. Is it best to let time pass or not answer at all? Is this some sort of a hint that she doesn't want to contact me?
Question: Friend called me out for not caring? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 12:54 AM PDT I have known my friend Michelle since last year and we have become quite good friends. Over the past few years I have stopped trusting people mainly due to bad past experiences involving my ex and close friends. I realised I was friends with some horrible people who took advantage of me and since then I have been distant around almost everyone. The other day it was my birthday and the two of us were hanging out, since she suggested it. We were getting to.know each other better and she showed me pictures about her family and when I did not respond she called me out for being cold towards her and not caring. I have already told her what hapoened in the past and that I dont trust people so I dont know why she czlled me out on it when she knows that is how I am around people
Question: Why did my roommate dislike me? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 12:46 AM PDT Ok, so from the beginning of the year, my roommate and I seemed okay. We would talk a little bit and stuff, but as the semester went on, she NEVER talked. I would sometimes try to be friendly like offering her cookies. She would say, "No, I'm good." She didn't smiled enough, and when she did, it looked fake. Then, mid-semester, she started doing things that bothered me. She didn't take out the trash as much as I did, changed her pads in the dorm room and threw them in the trash. I know this because we would change under our lofted beds at our desk and one time I heard the wrapper. I will say that she did wrap her sanitary napkins in tissue, but I still knew what they were when I saw the trash. She also left her desk light on way too late/early, which disturbed my sleep. Sometimes she left her laundry basket in the way, too. Eventually, we had bed bugs. She was super grumpy the day we had to bag our stuff and slammed the door. She also glared at me a few times. Honestly, I had enough and told the RA everything she did. I didn't want to confront my roommate about all of the stuff that piled up, so I told the RA I didn't feel safe. The RA talked to my roommate and we eventually had a meeting together. My roommate was super irritated because I didn't confront her first and told the RA I was scared. 2nd semester, she apologized and brought me oreos. However, my guy friend started talking to her even after I told him the weird stuff she did. Why was my roommate weird?
Question: My mother doesn’t want me hanging out with someone that i like? Posted: 05 Jul 2019 10:36 PM PDT So there's this guy that i'm friends with. he comes over for holidays. Once, during a new year's party at his house, we were in the basement with his friends while my parents and his parents were talking. while we were in the basement, his parents told my mother that he does drugs and drinks alcohol underage, but they don't try to stop him anymore. I haven't seen him do drugs (he's drank alcohol a lot tho) and he's really fun to be around. after my mother found out, she told me to go back upstairs and not to be around him or his friends. then, on July 4th, he came over, and while everyone else went swimming or eating outside, we were inside hanging out. We started having a pillow fight with the pillows on my couch and just had fun. we even cuddled on the couch together. the day after that, my mother had a long talk with me about how i she didn't want me to be friends with him. i understand that taking drugs and drinking alcohol underage is unhealthy and illegal, but i want to see if he can change. hes still a really fun person to hang out with and i am confident that his unhealthy habits won't influence me to do anything i'm not supposed to do. i haven't been able to talk to my mother privately about it because my sister was in the room when she lectured me. i don't see any real possibility that i can convince her to let me even be friends with him. is there any way that i can convince her that he's not just drugs and alcohol, and that he's actually a really good person?
Question: How can I nurture this friendship? Posted: 05 Jul 2019 09:38 PM PDT I'm a 21 year old guy and I've got a co worker who is a 17 year old girl. I like her a lot. We have the same religious beliefs, education, hobbies, etc. I can tell she thinks I'm really cool. She always smiles and waves at me, we chat on break, and I catch her looking over at me. I definitely think she has a crush on me, I have a crush on her too. But now the age gap is an issue. So what I want to do is nurture our friendship. What can I do to do that? I can't be having anyone think there is more to it. I'm an honest hard worker. I'm known as one of the top workers at my job, in particular by my boss. Any ideas for me?
