We were hanging out on Sunday, and he mentioned how he wanted to hook up with me, ended up making out a little bit, nothing beyond that. I woke up the next morning after I left his place feeling uncomfortable and weird about what happened, and directly communicated with him that because I had suffered from an abusive relationship (and he KNEW that), I wasn't comfortable with being a hookup, for anyone. He got mad at me, proceeded to insult me, tell me I conducted myself poorly, and told me it was my fault because I led him on, and then kicked me out of his life. Just made me feel awful in general. I am so confused, and very hurt. Was this my fault? I put a stop to it right away, and exercised my right to say no. Please help :( |

We were in a long distance relationship and we were committed. His parents were never accepting of our relationship though. I was told the timing that was wrong/ his parents didn't think this was going to work out because of the distance between us and that he needs at least a year or two of job experience before thinking about such a commitment, so we broke up 3 weeks ago. Luckily I was able to visit him a few times and meet his parents and spend time with his siblings and I was able to see him graduate from med school last month and spend it with his family. He told me that he didn't tell his parents we broke up because he wants to still try to make this work although he said no promises because chances are slim that they would change their minds after making their final decision. We still text every so often and actually the other day we texted all night long, just talking casually/ updating each other on our lives and he told me he still wants to stay in touch every so often to see how i'm doing. I asked him that night if he still thought there was hope in us ever and he said "I honestly done see it working out. Im sorry. I really want it to but the chances are very slim. I still love you and always will. I'll bring this topic up again to my parents when the time is right but don't want to drag you along. It's not fair for you. Only time will tell". I just miss him so much and all the memories! |

I have struggled with my weight my entire life I am about the same weight since we started dating. I am 5 foot 4 about 245 pounds. Our relationship came so naturally because we were best friends and we spent about a year before we started dating being friends in fact I had a boyfriend for part of the time and then 3 summers ago we had sex ( we always had a sexual energy) and we fell in love. Our relationship is amazing in every way. But now he is jacked he is taller maybe 6 foot 3 and he's about 200 pounds of muscle he looks like a model. When we go out girls hit on him because they can't believe he's with me. After the rest of the day I felt really weird. I felt totally out of it. I told my gf at the time about it and she asked if it was bc of what we did. I said I wasn't sure. Later that night I realized it wasn't bc of her but bc of a bunch of stress related to work and school. She ended up breaking up with me the next day. She said she still cared for me but it wasn't going to work out. How do I apologize and explain to her that I am telling the truth about what happened. She was completely in love with me and I think I hurt her. |

Idk if he knows I like him but i think it's kinda obv because, we flirt and make eye contact and all that. But I've realized that everytime we like hang out with our group of friends he completely forgets about me because he stares at this one other girl. It's always the same girl, but he always seems to look at her and she stares back at him. I am 18, and for the past 3 weeks I have been talking to this girl I met at an event we were both volunteering at for a couple days. We were just talking a lot/spending time together during those days and then I got her number. We have been texting 24/7 since. Eventually, this past weekend, I took her out on a date and she talked about how she feels and we kissed a good amount. However what I don't understand, is that she said that she does not like the whole "dating" pressure and she'd rather just talk. She did say that she'd be loyal and it isnt like an open relationship type of thing. From what I understand, she does not want our relationship to be all public and such, which i get, but she doesn't want to have the whole boyfriend/girlfriend titles yet and doesn't like to say the whole "I love you." I don't quite understand her yet. I take her feelings as in she wants me to be her boyfriend. But then sometimes she says things and it almost seems like she just wants something else, maybe like friends with benefits? I'm going to ask her on our next date about the whole talking vs dating thing and ask her what she is feeling for me, but what do you guys think first? Is she in love with me and she just wants to make sure that I'm a good choice or is she like using me as a friends with benefits type thing? i don't mind the talking deal for a little bit as long as there will be an eventual boyfriend title, so to speak. |
| Question: Relationship Advice? Posted: 09 Jul 2019 05:45 PM PDT I'm 24 years old. I've had one real girlfriend in my life, which lasted 3 years and ended 4 years ago. I've slept with 26 other women, which have mainly been FWB situations with women in their 40's. I've always figured that when there's such an age gap, it would be much harder for anyone to gain feelings. It's worked for the most part. I haven't wanted the responsibility of a relationship, which is why I've been doing this. Within the last few weeks, I've been talking to a 50 year old, who gives me the butterfly feelings that I haven't had since I started seeing my ex. This is the first time I've ever gained feelings for any of these older women...if this woman was 20 years younger I would love to get serious with her. We both have acknowledged these feelings on both ends, but agreed that we can't be serious due to the age gap. She's already seeing a guy her own age, but still talks to me every single day and still continues to be very flirtatious. I can't stop thinking about her and I have no idea what to do. I am open to any and all advise...I've had these crushes before and they seem to fizzle out on their own eventually. But I feel that my issues go way deeper than just this one woman. I'm so confused. |
